Re: ******3rd tri- check in 12/20*****

  • Hi, everyone!

Things are going well for me and the LO! We had our first u/s in MONTHS this past Monday, and it went really well. It was just so nice to see the little guy! He is very active, so I haven't had that many worries because I can almost always feel him moving. But you always just want that reassurance of seeing that he is okay, ya know?

He had just turned head-down the night before, so we couldn't get a good look at his face. But his heart and other organs are looking beautiful, and he's measuring 52nd percentile for growth, which is perfect. I'll go in every other week now to check on things, but I think only 1 of those appointments is with an u/s (around 36 weeks). My next checkup is on 1/2. I can't believe that 2014 is about to be here - the year when we'll meet our baby! :)

    QOTW:
    1) Christmas is stressing me out! I wish I had all my cards and wrapping and baking done already so that I could just enjoy it! Driving all over creation to go to 8 million get-togethers isn't helping with my productivity either!
    2) Our u/s made me smile. It was so great to see my little guy and to know that he is progressing well. I can't wait to meet him!!!

  • Hi ladies!

@jezebel57 can I be added please? I'm due March 16 and we are Team Green.

Any Updates? Nothing new right now.
Upcoming appointments? Our next appt is 01/07 for a growth scan due to the SUA.

QOTW: 1) What is majorly stressing you out this week? We are going to spend Christmas with my in-laws so I'm a little stressed about that. I'm kind of a homebody.
    2) What is something that made you smile this week?!  My husband tells me all the time I need to sing to the baby so he/she gets used to the songs but he won't have any part of singing. Last week my mom bought us the book Brown Bear Brown Bear and my husband has read that to my stomach every night since. It makes me smile every time I think about it :-)

  • Congrats @richzep ! Very happy for you!! 31 weeks 5 days! Doing good. Had a great scan on Monday, our little guy measured 56th percentile, 4lbs 1oz. Everything is looking great. I go back on dec 30 for cervix check and my first NST. Then will continue with weekly NSTs. Also, passed my 1 hour gtt this week. They tested me twice, once at 24 weeks and again this week due to pcos and family history. Qotw: 1. Stressed because haven't done anything to get nursery ready. 2. Smile every time I feel our son move. Starting to really feel him, like today I think I felt a foot. :)

Preterm labor at 23 weeks 4 days, lost our sweet baby boy.
  • Wow I can't believe I'm next on the list! I'm 35w3d and it's been 5 weeks from our early labor scare that landed me in then hospital and on bed rest. So thankful to have gotten to a much safer place for LO should she come early. I feel like I live at my OBs- I have weekly appointments and had an NST and a growth check today. Baby is measuring about 4 lbs 11 oz but I guess on the smaller side compared to some of your LOs! Thought I was going into labor last night when I had contractions 8-10 min apart for a couple hours. Still having more contractions than usual but would love to keep her in a little longer so I am going to really try to be low key this weekend.

QOTW: ugh so much stress! Stressing about work a lot (working from home now) and really just want to finish up! Also very stressed about the nursery- nothing is done! As in seriously there is nothing in the room. I know it doesn't really matter but I feel like it would help me mentally prepare to have it ready. I'm also not a big fan of relying on other people for things but I am having to due to bed rest....

Ok enough negative. Now for things that made me smile: DH took me to a bakery to get a cupcake after our appointments today and keeps telling me I'm doing a good job keeping LO growing. Also hearing baby's heartbeat really loud and clear made me smile- I can feel her moving all over but there is something magical about her little heartbeat! Also the ultrasound tech said she could see hair on LOs head! :)

  • So I finished writing this and got a call from my OB who said that LO is only at like the 11th percentile for weight, down from 30th at the last check. Of course I hung up the phone and burst into tears. The only thing she said is to try to increase protein and make sure to rest. Of course I am worried and feel guilty that I haven't been eating enough protein :( I go back in 2 weeks to check on her growth but between now and the I m going to do tons of protein, rest, and try to stay positive.

Sorry to hear. It seems like its something that you can improve. I find lean turkey and lean chicken is so amazing for me with protein. Good luck, stay strong.

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow. I passed my glucose screen and the placenta moved up, so no concerns about placenta previa! LO was in breech position so I'll go back at 32 weeks for another u/s to see if she moves. LO is already over 3 pounds and in the 85 percentile for weight! Everyone tells me I'm tiny for 29 weeks so I wonder how scrunched up she is in there haha We are putting an addition on our house and I'm super stressed about it. Nothing seems to be on schedule and I'm worried it won't be done before LO arrives. DH makes me smile every night when he lays his head on my belly to talk to our girl and feel her kick. It's the favorite part of my day. Congrats, richzep!

  • Hello,
Sorry I am so late. I am almost 36 weeks. I will be on Xmas day. I have my c section scheduled on Jan 16. I have 25 days left. Almost there. I feel huge and so not me. I cannot do much. I am so done with being pregnant.

What stressing me out is how many things I have to do and have not energy to do it. My house is a mess and I have things to do for the baby, but I am so tired, I have no motivation to do any of them.

What made me happy is that my DD is finally learning things. We took her out of preschool. she was too sick all the time, and I am teaching her at home and I finally see that she is learning letters and numbers. I am so proud of her.

She will be three in Jan.

    Thanks Ladies.
