@CDumovich That was a really sweet thing to say about those hamsters. I don't truly understand why you did what you did (instead of say, separating them), but I believe that you did what you thought was best at the time. I also believe that you are sincerely remorseful.
My little brother did something to piss me off tonight. To get even I wiped some of my just used deodarant applicator on his toothbrush. Take that turdly little brother!
Yolo: "you only live once... Might as well eat your brother." Dolo: no! Not my leg... Not my leg!!!!!!!
I am so upset you beat me to this. Poor Yolo, I can only hope he lived his life according to the YOLO mentality. @cdumovich how did you put neosporin on Yolo and dolo if you didn't touch them? Also can we get a gif for "hamsters gonna ham" @lelo2006 you are nailing them today!!
I understand, the parent was upset the prescription wasn't covered under the reduced fee. She would have to pay participle/full cost. I'm a diabetic btdt paying full cost,my insulin pump costs 8grand...I'd be pissed if I had to dish out that money if it wasn't covered and I didn't have it! I think your correlating things you shouldn't have and offended many! It's words but they can hurt. Just remember this is a board made up of many different people and life situations.
I think @cdumovich has her foot permanently wedged in her mouth. Though I do believe she feels sorry for what she did. The bump doesn't forget. Cdumovich you might just have to deal with this haunting you for a while. Don't worry, you will catch shit for a while but it will blow over.
I can't say you are off my post-it. The government assistance crap you are spewing doesn't help you in any way. Are you trying to make people dislike you? I'm serious, because right now you are like 0 for 3.
First the crazy stretch mark cream spam. Second, the bizarro bitching about your induction. Then you disappear. When you finally decide to reappear you say all kinds of inflammatory shit. I mean, FFS, what do you expect when you behave this way?
I'm really not trying to be a dick, but if you act like a jerk then people will flame you. It's not an IF but a WHEN.
I keep trying to give you the benefit of the doubt then you post horse shit like this. WTF?

Is anyone else curious what ER she works in that she commonly runs into convicts and the mentally ill?
because it didn't fucking snow enough for me to build my own
@jackson290721 : In all fairness the ER that I've volunteered at is right near our State Mental Hospital & 15 minutes from our county jail. So, when I was there I saw a fair amount of mentally ill & convicts. The ER is a great equalizer there. You see all sorts of stuff.

I don't doubt it. I just remember the post about it, figured she worked at a therapists office or something, not the er
because it didn't fucking snow enough for me to build my own
I think many towns/cities find their ER is full of people from all walks of life. When I took a job commuting to the ER in the suburban town I grew up in, it opened my eyes to how sheltered I'd been growing up and how much more diverse the town was than I'd realized. The mentally ill have so few options for healthcare, and truly, when someone is having issues such as psychosis, suicidal thoughts, etc, the ER is the safest place for them to be to get them the appropriate evaluation and care.
We also served as the check point for health issues when individuals are arrested and needed medical attention before heading in to jail, were the hospital the local jail used for emergencies with inmates, and occasionally were the site of active arrests when it was discovered there were warrants out for certain patients in the ER. Add in the oddballs doing stupid/disgusting things, and ERs see strange things. I also trained at an ER in Detroit, so to me the ER in my hometown was tame.
tl;dr ERs are wild places
Please don't be insulted but from what my doctor friends have said of doing their residencies in Detroit it is one of the hardest cities in US to work the ER. Just the poverty and violence and often intoxicated and drug induced assaults on healthcare workers.
I just posted my post about Medicaid bc I wanted you to understand, @CDumovich, that sometimes the people who access these services don't fit the stereotype. I'm in a two-income household. I'm educated and I have a good job. I don't smoke or use drugs and I'm a good parent. I do have an iPhone (free with my plan) but we still, for the most part, live very simply.
These prejudices aren't just your's. They are pervasive throughout society. Please don't think I'm singling you out.
Let's just vote Cdumovich off the island and get it over with.
Maybe I'm just being a softie, but I disagree with this. She's stuck around repeatedly after being flamed over and over again. I think something's up and I think she's lonely and reaching out to us. I think this is an instance where a little patience and compassion could go a long way.
Regarding my government assistance post all I am saying is a parent should always, always put the health of their child before entertainment or any other "luxuries." Benadryl for an allergic reaction should take precedence over water park tickets that's all I was getting to.
Ok so here's the deal though...
There is a whole lot of presumption going on here. The allergic reaction is not something you foresee. The trip to the watermark could have been their one outing & big expenditure in YEARS.
It doesn't mean that they don't place their kids' health above having fun. You can't live your life based on what-if. The kids deserve a day at the park just as much as kids whose parents are wealthy. It doesn't mean that the wealthy kids' parents love them anymore because they have the luxury of having more rainy day money.
It takes a ton of balls to have the gumption to look at one status update or even 5 then suddenly presume to know what that parent's priorities are.
I put smoking in the car/house in a separate category. Apples & oranges. The day at the water park is hardly the parents being selfish.
This logic is dangerously close to "no fun/skittles/waterpark/iPhones for poor people"! Just because poor families take assistance & go to the theme park for one day does not mean that their priorities are fucked up. It means they are trying to make memories with their kids while they can.

I am kind of with you here. I just desperately want her (cdumovich) to stop saying offensive shit. I want to be big on the second/third chance train. I want to!
@valstulas : I can totally hear the American Psycho doing the spiel before the crazy dude kills Paul. The whole thing in the Alvin the Chipmunk voice & it's making me die in fits of laughter!
"I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to Be Square," a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself! HEY PAUL!"
*chop!*
Bateman: TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!
Just imagine it in the chipmunk voice. Lol! I know. I know-- I'm twisted.
I let Finn suck frosting off my finger last night. He likes that much more than any veggies that he's tried to far.
Every time I eat ice cream, LO whines to have a taste. I let him have a tiny bit every once in a while. I'm a terrible mother.
Eh-- frankly this is NBD as long as it doesn't give the kid tummy problems. I figure life is way to short to get my panties in a bunch over something like this. As long as it isn't a family member doing it without permission.
DS has tried mashed potatoes with real butter. He liked it but I only gave him a little bit. Really you aren't hurting the kid.
@CDumovich you got some good advice from @ncchnat. I know you posted a little during our pregnancies, but it takes awhile to get a feel for the climate on our board. I didn't really feel comfortable and like coming out of my shell until after I had Finn. Go slow and keep your eyes open. Take some time to get to know us.
When she eats meat or really anything at this stage, she sucks on it for a while and then eventually spits it out or swallows it.
At this stage, food is totally for play and not nutrition, so it doesn't matter if she actually "eats" it.
She also, btw, chokes less now than she did with purees. Purees get shoved into the back of the baby's mouth, and with BLW, the food stays in the front of the mouth until swallowed.
-----F-U quote tree----
This comment irritates me. Rock on with your BLW, but I never "shoved" purees into the "back of my baby's mouth". My kid loved purees, as I gently spooned them just into his mouth just past his lips.
I wish you all knew me better. I really am a good person. I don't mean to be offensive or rude. And I genuinely appreciate those that have helped me in the last year. I guess that's why I spend so much time trying to explain myself on here.
I don't think you are a horrible person, FWIW. I just don't think you think before you type sometimes. It's alright, I've been there & fucked up myself. It's just when you keep doing it that it becomes a problem, you know?
If you are struggling we don't want to turn you away. I just want good things for you & you seem to keep tripping over yourself. I'm trying to be less of a bitter sow lately & more forgiving. So please know that I am trying not to be bitchy to you. @ncchnat gave you great advice.
@CDumovich, I'm going to give you some unsolicited advice here and I really hope you take it.
Stop talking.
Lie low for a couple of days.
When you do come back, don't be an AW. You've started 25 threads since December 1st, including a GBCB on the 1st.
Agreed. But apparently she's opposed to taking some good friendly advice.
I didn't see your post @ncchnat until now. I guess I was just trying to be more involved since I hadn't before and everyone was upset I was asking for advice and not participating. But I will go back to lurking if that's better for everyone.
Dude, just move on. Seriously. Drop the topics. This only started because you brought up the hamster thing again. Just drop it. You don't have to gtfo. Just quit bringing up the crazy.
because it didn't fucking snow enough for me to build my own
@laurendag : no flames. If you have to think about the possibility of losing your reproductive organs then it's a valid discussion. If pregnancy was super hard on you I can definitely see why the idea of doing it again after all this would be crazy frightening.
Give yourself time & be gentle with yourself. Nothing has to be decided right this second. ((Hugs)) :x
