I started nursing after 2 1/2 months because DS wouldn't/couldn't.  He had a tongue thrust issue and the morning of his Physical Therapy appointment I landed in the ER with a gall bladder attack.  I had surgery a few days later, with all the chaos we never made it back to the PT.  I still tried nursing but he would scream like I was killing him.  His tongue thrust issue eventually resolved itself, but he just wouldn't nurse.  On Easter morning I tried again (like I'd been doing all along, and believe me, I had tried every which way)and he nursed a full feeding, like he'd been doing it since birth.  I hated pumping, but I'm glad I kept at it.
