First u/s today 5w4d

I had my first u/s today at 5w4d and we saw there was 1 sac inside measuring perfectly!  He believes he found the beginning of the yolk sac and everything looked great!  I had my hcg taken and it came back at 5100 which OF COURSE has me nervous because the doubling has slowed down to 53 hrs.  I have ready this is normal once you get over 1200...any insight on this ladies.  They said it all looked great though!  So now to get ready for my trip tomorrow.  Next u/s is scheduled for 12/30 when we will be 7w1d!

    Aww- congrats!!!
    They stopped taking my HCG levels after my 3rd beta (2 weeks before my first ultrasound) so I can't answer your question from experience but I will say that I heard that it slows down after 1000 as well. If they didn't say you had anything to be concerned about, I wouldn't worry (ha- I say this and worry about everything!). I am sure it's all good though!

    Congrats. Trust your RE, they know best I'm sure your hcg is fine. Welcome.
    TTC Since 112010 Naturally. Diagnose:PCOS(ME) + Low Motility(HIM). Started IVF+ICSI Cycle 12312. ER 27 & ET 210 two embies transferred. *BFN 1ST IVF CYCLE.* **Getting as healthy as possible and will try IVFICSI#2 again hopefully in April.** -- HAVE FAITH; LET GO & LET GOD --

    congrats! they also stopped taking my betas after 3 so I can't compare but it is suppose to slow down and i think anything between 48-72 is normal even in the begining.

    Congrats!! Your beta looks good to me! My RE stops betas once you reach 5000. This is the chart I used:

    "Normal" Doubling Time
    hCG levels Doubling Time
    Under 1200 mIU/ml 31-72 hours
    Between 1200 to 6000 mIU/ml 72-96 hours
    Over 6000 mIU/ml more than 96 hours

    Yay for the beginnings of a bean!

    I only found out my first two beta numbers and then once I started getting ultrasounds, they would just tell me "everything looks great!" and I went with that!

    How exciting to have your first u/s and have everything look great! :) My RE only did 2 betas and then switched to u/s after that. So I have no idea what my beta would have been at my first u/s. So since everything looked great with the u/s then don't worry about your hcg! I hope you have a fabulous trip!

    Congrats! I was also worried about my last beta slowing in doubling time but do look at that chart from a pp and try to enjoy being pregnant!
    Me:30 low AMH; DH:30 MFI (count, motility, morphology)
    2 rounds clomid 100 mg -BFN
    IUI#1- 25 mg clomid- July 2012= BFN!
    IUI #2 August = BFN!
    IUI #3 September = BFN!

    IVF #1 November - converted to IUI #4 due to poor response = BFN
    IVF #1.2 February- converted to IUI #5 due to poor response = BFN
    IVF #1.3 April- micro dose Lupron flare with HGH; 14R, 13M, 11F! Transfer of 1 day 5 blast on 4/30, 4 frosties. BFP! Beta #1 9dp5dt= 179; Beta #2 11dp5dt= 442; Beta #3 4106 Stick baby stick!!
