My butt hurts. I forgot how bad these progesterone shots hurt afterwards. Anyone else getting them to prevent preterm labor. I need someone to whine with me

I start mine tomorrow. Never had them before (2 previous premature births). I am nervous as all hell.

They don't hurt going in they just hurt after. Like I didn't feel anything when she gave me the shot. They aren't as bad as you think. I was nervous last time around too! I didn't know what to expect.

While I can't say anything about Progesterone shots, I can say that when I would give new recruits penicillin (peanut butter) shots in their booties, we told them to rub it and walk it out. Does that help at all or am I totally off my mark?

Have you tried icing before and heat + massage after? That always helped with my PIO (twice a day progesterone). Also, I found exercising, especially cardio involving the butt helped prevent forming lumps at the injection sites.
