What are your thoughts of the Arabic name, Khalil (pronounced kuh-leel)? I've seen this name butchered, but this is the original spelling and it's growing on me. I'm not a stickler for meanings, but it means "friend" which is nice and I think it goes well with big brother's name and last name.

Please give me your honest opinions- I know I've been flip-flopping for awhile now but picking a name is always difficult.

Also, I used to work with a Khalila, and I was always struck by the prettiness of her name.

If you are into Arabic names, do you at all like Maalik?  I have had a crush on that name since I was in middle school and had a classmate named this.

I wanted to tag @nerdylucy but then I remembered Urkel is Jaleel not Khalil.
I like it paired with Grant best.

I also love Maalik, but it's my little cousin's name (spelled Malik) so we vetoed it. It's a great name though!

Hah!  If you were convincing enough, I probably would've gone along with it, while thinking, "Oh, I thought it started with a J.."

 

 

 

I like James with it best, then Grant.

My husbands middle name is Kahlil. His mother loves the writer Kahlil Gibran. I like it, its different and unique. 

If I had to go with one, I'd pick Kahlil Sean

I love the name. I had a friend in college named Khalil, and he was a beautiful 6'8" half African American, half Caucasian French man. He grew up in France and spoke fluently, and moved to the US in high school. So in other words, I have a bias and I love it
