Maybe. We went to Baby Gap last night when we took DD to see Santa. They had everything 40% off! The fox sleeper is a candidate for coming home outfit. The monkey onesie and hat were less than $4 total!
I'm a FTM, and haven't given it thought yet. We haven't bought anything for LO yet, just a name book. I don't want visitors our first few days home, so I don't know if I'll worry about a coming home outfit, vs. a first day of visitors outfit?
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
I have DS's coming home outfit. It was white with ducks since we didn't know he was a boy. I'm having a home birth this time but will put LO#2 in the same outfit for pics once he's clean and fed and we are snuggling. Oh, I can't wait to see another little baby in that outfit!
We haven't yet, once we know what we're having (next week) I'll be on the hunt. With DD I didn't realize what a huge size difference there was between NB and 0-3 so I had two 0-3 outfits for her to come home in and they were really big on her. She was 7 lbs exactly so she needed NB to start. This time I'll have one NB and one 0-3 just in case.
We picked DS out right after AS yesterday. We did the same thing with DD. I will also pack a 3month size invade he's big. DD was only 6lb 14 so I'm not anticipating he'll be too much larger than her.

It's really your preference, I know some people buy a special outfit to come home in, but if you don't want to use it for coming home that's perfectly fine, it makes sense to use the special outfit for visitors instead.
I do like the idea of the shadow box with a birth announcement, hospital band, an outfit, etc. So if I don't do an outfit specifically for coming home, I'd probably have a hospital photo outfit that I would save, or whatever I use for their first professional photo, that type of thing.

Maybe. My parents gifted us with this set and it says "Welcome to the world" on it, which I love. It's 0-3 mos so if it fits, it's my top contender right now. Technically, it's also the only contender but that's temporary
I don't plan on putting her in anything special. I'll bring 2 in different sizes. I have a 0-3 outfit that I want to use. It's a coral onesie with a bunny on it, coral and navy polka dot pants, and navy blue and white polka dot head band with a small bow. I haven't found a NB size outfit I want to use yet.
This is what we are doing as well. I don't know what I'm having yet so I have to buy an outfit (or any baby item), but with DD's I just had two different sized Carter's onesies and pants.
Thank you It is the outfit my sister brought my niece home in She gave it to me and asked me to use it for the same thing...no problem....super cute...done!
We don't have anything yet. I plan to get a cute boy and girl outfit just bc we are Team Green and will be revealing from the hospital. A professional photographer comes in to do pics, so I want cute outfits for that.

I've bought a few things that could make different outfits (different onesies and pants that coordinate) but most of it is gender neutral because I bought them on sale before I knew Lemon is a boy. I have tons of adorable hand-me downs from my twin boy nephews, so I'm not planning to buy any more clothes unless it's killer cute.
I figure someone will gift me something adorable at a baby shower or something. People always seem to find the cutest things for gifting.
DDs coming home outfit was HUGE on her. I don't know what we will do this time. She was swimming in newborn clothes for weeks. I know GAP has an up to 7lbs size so I we will probably have one of those on hand.
Mom gave me a big box with her coming home outfit and blanket (minus the shoes and hat that went to my little sister), my maternal grandfather's coming home outfit and blanket, my father's blanket, and my coming home outfit, blanket, and first pictures outfit. All except my picture outfit were handmade by a grandparent or aunt of the child in question.
It was a little overwhelming. I have no idea if I actually want to use any of them for this baby, but they're mine to keep safe and use if I choose. All the clothes are pretty fragile except my first picture outfit (polyester lasts forever!), special occasion only sort of things. But so pretty and delicate. I'm thinking since baby is going to be named after MIL, maybe we can use my mothers homecoming dress- its by far the prettiest in the box.

DH went out with me the day we found out that we're having a boy and we picked out these two lol. We're seriously considering using the tux onsie for the coming home outfit
With ds I only took nb and it was tiny on him at his whopping 8lbs 14 oz....usually second babies are bigger and she's already measuring nine daysahead, so we'll see.
I'm not sure what kind of outfit to buy. Weather in OH could still be kind of cold or could start getting warm. Guess I'll have to find two outfits- one for warmer weather and one for if it's chill out.
