Help with middle name for Sybil!

This is our first child and DH and I had no problem coming up with a boy's name, but we've been struggling to find any girl's name we like. We really like Sybil, but I'm really bad at middle names. Some suggestions would be great. I like the idea of a more feminine middle since Sybil is such a strong, to the point name. I don't like "filler" or names with religious undertones, such as Hope or Grace as I feel they have been over used. To give you an idea of our naming style, some of the ones we're considering are:

Sybil Renee (family significance)
Sybil Michelle (also family significance)
Sybil Olivia
Sybil Therese
Sybil Juniper
Sybil Seraphina
Sybil Azalea (I think this one would go well with the boy's name below)

Last name is Schultz. NN would be Sybie or Mino (inital "SS" make my DH and I think of the SS Mino lol)

If we have a boy, we've already decided on Cal Enzo Schultz

No negative comments about the first name choice... let's keep this productive please! Thanks for all the help!!

Re: Help with middle name for Sybil!

  • I have so much love for the name Azalea, but I don't think it quite works with Sybil.  I do like the flow of Sybil Renee the best.

    Other suggestions:

    Sybil Maren

    Sybil Pearl

    Sybil Fern

    Sybil Felice

    Sybil Magnolia

    Sybil Helene

    Sybil Yvette

I read the title of this thread and, I kid you not, my first thought was Sybil Renee.  I have no idea why.

Sybil Seraphina is a mouthful, but I kind of like the sing-songy feel.

  • Sybil Renee!  I love Seraphina, but it does sound sing songy.

  • I like Sybil Yvette too! Thought of Helene, but didn't like the flow of it. Not into Maren, but Marin could be pretty.

Agreed that Seraphina sounds sing songy. Like I said, I'm bad at middle names!!
    L-)

I haven't discussed the middle name with DH yet and when I do, I need a solid list. He won't suggest anything and vetoes nearly all my suggestions. It's a miracle we both agree on Sybil!

    Thanks for the helpful suggestions/comments!!

  • For those who had the first thought of Sybil Renee I'll bet it was because we have a reg whose dd is Sable Renee. @helenahhandbasket @nerdylucy

  • Sable is lovely. Not that this is really an option, but Sybil Sable Schultz would be one heck of a name! Talk about sing songy :-O

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to a poster who is a regular on this board. Her daughters name is Sable Renee. It wasn't a suggestion for you.

  • I know its not on your list but my mom's name was Sybil Dorothy and I have always loved that flow.  But obviously I'm biased.
