Recommend your recliner/glider.

edited December 2013 in June 2013 Moms
So we have the cheap storkcraft basic glider which I thought would do but my back is killing me. I inticipated rock LO for maybe 30 min then putting him down for his naps WRONG! I hold him for his two naps during the day usually 2-2.5 hours each and I need a very comfy recliner/glider. I would like one that I can recline back once he's asleep, so maybe I can sleep too. Any recommendations?

  • Mine doesnt recline but it's comfortable enough that I've fallen asleep in it.  I have Potter Barn Kids Comfort swivel rocker in the larger size.  I absolutely love it.  I got the everyday velvet fabric and the first time Colton projectile spitted all over it, I was terrified it was ruined.  But it all wiped off without any problems.  Sometimes he spits up a little in the dark during the night feeding and I see it in the morning all dried up on the fabric, I just take a damp clothe and rub it, and it comes right off.  I just love that thing.

We have this one except it is way more expensive now than when we got it. They have more colors to choose from.

  • We have a leather recliner. I love it but it does make noise (Thanks noisy leather) when I stand up to put the babies in their cribs.
  • Dutailier brand from toys r us. It was pricey (thank you dad's firm). I really like it (it does recline).

We have a little castle glider/recliner from bbb and we love it. I sleep in it often! It's way more comfortable than our couch lol

We had the Shermag from BRU and I do NOT recommend it.  It's fine at first sit, but for hours on end the padding is definitely not up to snuff.

I second, third and fourth this. I can't stand it anymore. We spend a lot of time in it and my butt has worn through the "cushion" Wish we spent more on a better one!
  • Thanks so much ladies, I think I'm going to go with the rockabye glider. I found it on amazon for 45% off. Wishing I wouldn't have spent the $200 on my POS glider ughh.

  • We have a lazyboy recliner. Super cushy how my husband likes it, then I stole it and put it in Los room. So comfy!
Also... Wish my kid would nap!
  • We have a Dutailer,a gift from a friend. Love it. Its wide, comfy and swivels and glides. The gliding ottoman is great and the chair has side pockets too.
