Does movement hurt?

I get these slightly painful gouging sensations. Not RLP. Like pokes. But they're not pops or flutters. And no one ever describes movement as painful.

Re: Does movement hurt?

  • It hasn't for me, it's more like pressure at this point that moves around...I'm assuming that's from flipping around. I would ask your OB about pains just to be safe. I get them sometimes but my OB said its just due to the stretching and pulling and my cervix and placentas are fine so there's no concern

  • I brought it up at my appt. yesterday and she said, "Could be baby, could be ligaments, could be stretching." So not concerned.

  • I would ask the doc. LAter on in pregnancy painful movement is ok, but this early, Id get a check up!

baby movements shouldn't really hurt at this point - baby isn't quite strong enough.  Definitely later in pregnancy though when you get a good swift kick to the bladder or, like one time with DD, when I could feel her toes literally curl around one of my bottom ribs.  Ouch.

    DO NOT WANT.

  • I have mega RLP that feels like poking from the inside. I called my doc about it this AM because it's persisted since last night, and she said that's just what to expect at this point, since LO is growing so much. I wish it was movement (so, I kind of picture LO in there, stretching teeny arms and going "ahhhhh, that's better." Which is ridiculous, but it makes me not hate the RLP so bad.)

I DO NOT WANT TO FEEL MY BABY TOUCH MY BONES.

  • I don't really remember it hurting but then again that might be the pregnancy amnesia which is what convinced me to go through all this again. I remember more discomfort when he would lodge himself in a weird position than pain. I would think at this point the pain is more stretching since he/she is still really small.

On a side note I used to love it when he'd put a foot out of my side I'd push back gently so then he'd kick back against it even more. I should've know then that he'd be stubborn. DH told me to leave him alone but I thought it was fun to "interact" with him
