Losing my mind...

The house next to us was robbed on Monday during the day. I was home pretty much all day off and on too. I was shocked when the police showed up around 9pm to ask us if we saw anything. We don't have windows on that side of our house and our backyard is fenced off so I saw and heard nothing but still a little scary. Now I am on freak out mode jumping at every creek and noise at night. They didn't have a security system and I guess they broke out their back window of the ...house. It was college kids who rent. I feel so bad for them.

Is it sad that everyday since I worry not about our possessions in the house but more about the Christmas presents and my Ovidrel being stolen??  My home owners insurance can get the IPAD and computer but it probably won't get that shot to me in time when I need it.  UGH I am going a little nuts.  I drive like crazy to get home now to make sure it is safe in the fridge.  Then I check the tree and make sure the presents are still there.

See this is why I miss having nosy neighbors, I'd make an agreement with maybe a neighbor behind you or across the street, like.. "You watch my house, I'll watch yours.." Usually crooks stay away from fridge meds bc they can't sell them, they usually are like insulin, ect. You can buy security system stickers at lowes and Home Depot, and buy rinky dink security systems,and cameras pretty cheap, enough to turn the theifs off. . I'd hide the presents though, just for peice of mind! Maybe a closet?

We have ADT home security so I think they might stay away. Just crazy.
