Flu shot Vent

I'm so aggravated right now. Took ds for 6 months shots but they didn't have the flu shot and apparently aren't ordering any more for the year. Doctor stated he would just get one next year. Wtf he's 6 and a half months old and I would think it's important. I've called pharmacies but the youngest I've found is 10 and up. Ive tried other offices but they won't do it if he's not a patient. Another office wasn't sure if they had it either. I called the health dept but the next date is jan 11. I really would like to get it done before the holidays. I'm at a loss. I really don't want to wait that long plus I have no idea when I could get the second dose for him. I'm at the point where maybe I should just lie and pretend he doesn't have a doctor just so I can get the shot. What would you do? Sorry about the new thread. yeah, that is pretty bad.  Do you have any clinics by you? They are often associated with a hospital and a lot of time you can just do a "walk in" for a shot.

I'd be upset, too. I wish I had more suggestions, but I'd probably be looking into what @mslaurats suggested, as well.

It's worth a try. I'll see if maybe immediate care would be able to do it. I just spent my lunch break looking into Cvs and the w algreens walk in clinic. They won't see anyone under 18 months.

That is craziness! They typically say flu season peaks in February (obviously different years could vary), so I can't believe they aren't ordering anymore.  I would second asking an urgent care if they could give it.  I know when I worked at one, we had flu shot clinics during flu season and they reserved certain vials specifically for kids. The hospital I work at gives flu shots until March, so that is just nuts to me. Hopefully, you can find somewhere that will give it.

That's really sucky! I was told flu season won't even hit our area until next month or so. I can't imagine why they wouldn't get more. Definitely check with a hospital. Is there a children's hospital in your area?
