  • Dear Friday,

Hurry up! I can't wait to be off work for the next 1.5 weeks. But in the meantime, can all the work that needs to be done before then just magically be done too?

Signed, looking forward to a long break from work

    Dear Christmas,

I can't believe you are in one week. It's been so wonderful watching DS1's anticipation and joy this past couple of weeks. I almost feel like a kid again, waiting anxiously for you to arrive, but more to see DS1's reaction to everything. I love this time year.

Now, if you could work some magic and wrap all the presents too, that would be great.

Love, Jam's out to Christmas music daily

    Dear waist line,

I'm glad to see we are not expanding.  Two more weeks to go? Let's keep up the good work and just try to maintain and in the new year, we can start shrinking again.

Signed, Just keep running, just keep running....and stop eating!

  • Dear Controller-

You are a B. I'm livid you denied my vacation PTO for January a week after my mgr approved it. I bought non-refundable plane tickets.

  • Dear brain,

Yes, I understand the length of our to do list. This constant freaking out is not helping. It is not making our cross country move come together, it does not actually pack boxes, hang Christmas decorations, or help my marriage. It does not put food on the table. Let me sleep so I can face another day without panic attacks.

    Signed,
    Where was my list again?

    Dear H,
While I appreciate your empathy, stepping up and doing stuff would be even better. I sent you a list this morning when I got up at 4am too panicky to sleep. Please actually do it.

    Love,
    Me

    Dear DD,
I can't believe you're still asleep at 640am. You haven't slept this late in months. Can you do it again tomorrow when mommy might be able to enjoy it?

    I love you.

  • Dear work
We are a Catholic school so why are we celebrating Christmas in Jan? The faculty enjoys the lunch/chris kringle party we had last year in the cafeteria.  Nothing crazy needed but Jan is a little too late.

    Dear Fri
    OMG PLEASE HURRY UP!!!!

  • Dear Bargaining Unit Chief,

Your contract specifically states you cannot perform union business on company time.  Why then are you constantly in HR bugging us about petty gossip and BS when you should be on the floor doing your job?  I am in my office trying to do my job which is why I'm sometimes short with you.  I don't have the time or the desire to hear your whining.  You must have noticed since you're now pestering Payroll.  It's not that I don't like you but you are in here wasting time or chatting with others in the plant more than you are at your station working.  I don't know how you get away with it but hopefully the new supervisor you're getting will start holding you accountable.

  • Dear weather,

Please don't snow that much on Saturday into Sunday to affect my plane on Monday morning. We have been planning this trip for a year. I really don't want to travel on Xmas Eve.

    Sincerly,

Mom who hasn't had a vacation in 5 years

    Dear DS,

I love how excited you are and how sweet you can be. However totally disregarding what I am asking you to do and doing the opposite is really exhausting. I am tired of giving you time outs and taking toys away. Please just open your ears and listen to what we are saying.

    Thanks!

    Your Mom

    Dear Judgy Mom,
While it's great that you are able to give the formula samples to another coworker who could use them, saying, "They keep sending me this stuff and my baby has never had formula, not one drop!" in the tone you used probably isn't making the parents struggling to nurse full time feel all that great about the fact they are using formula. Further exclaiming how you "Never would have signed up for it" or "We never shop at stores like Babies R Us" and how your kid will only get "homemade organic baby food" just adds to reasons why I have given you the nickname I have.

    Signed,
Learned my lesson early about talking about babies with you. Glad our kids are not at the same daycare.
