STM + where did you water break?

I dont know if this has been done but I thought it would be interesting to read. Three of my waters were hospital broke. The last one broke in my kitchen at 36/2 but it was only a trickle as I was not at all ready for labor and Kinleys head acted as a plug so it slowly came out. I didn't know at first so it was extremly shocking! What's your story?

I had a home birth but it was when I was ready to push. I had quite a bit of fluid leak earlier and as a FTM I thought that must have been it. When I pushed and my water broke it exploded everywhere. I was like "oh, I guess it didn't break earlier..." I was a bit embarrassed but not for long, they've seen and been covered in worse, I'm sure.

I was laying in bed and I heard a pop, for a second I thought maybe it was my water, but I had heard his joints pop before so I figured it was that when nothing happened. I laid there for another hour trying to sleep and couldn't. I decided to get up and when I leaned to get out of bed it gushed everywhere. Through the mattress pad, all over the floor, all the way down the stairs. I went to the bathroom to get a towel and I heard my husband fall down the stairs, he slipped on it. Oops.

Woke up and got out of bed. Gushed every where. Another gush in the bathroom. I guess i thought there couldn't be much more, because I put on a pad to go to the hospital. Walked into the hospital with soaked pants.

In bed at 4:30am at 37w2d.  I had just rolled over and felt a tiny leak.  When I moved again I felt more so I leaped out of bed and headed for the bathroom.  It was five steps from bed to the toilet, and on step number four my water gushed all over the floor.

With my first it broke in bed about an hour after I fell asleep. I was 35w3d and It was A LOT of fluid! I had to take a shower before we could go!
With my second, thankfully, it broke partially on its own at the hospital. I believe they had to help it along after a while though. I was 39w exactly.
I am really hoping I don't have an at home (or worse, in public) gush this time around!

The doctor broke mine on the delivery room just before I started to push... I remember that it hurt when he broke it too ...I had a very fast labor about 5 hours.. I'm hoping this one is quick too .!!

Both of my previous pregnancies were inductions, so the ob broke my water both times. This time, I am hoping and praying for that gush.....crap, I don't even care if it happens in the middle of Wal-Mart with a black friday-esque crowd around me! This is my last pregnancy and I want the excitement of Oh my goodness....it's time!!!

At the hospital. Contractions started naturally around 5 am, went in around 2 pm, I think. Labored for awhile, then the doc decided to break my water.

Then they said there was mecconium (sp?) in it so they wanted to put me on pitocin to speed it up and that was the point that I said "F it, I'll take that epidural now." Hung out in total bliss until around 4 am, then was fully dialated and pushed that sucker out!

I had a scheduled c-section so mine never.broke.
My mom's, however, broke at 32w while she was at work. They had a crappy car at the time and the radiator kept breaking. So when she called my dad to tell him her water broke, he told her to just go to the garage!

37wks, just got in bed at 10 pm-ish. It was mini gushes, but I knew what it was. DD was born 10 hrs later.

I had a scheduled c section for my due date with DD. I had my 38w check, still 2cm and 80% affaced. I spent the very next day in labor, from the time I got up until midnight when my water broke in my bed. Changes pants and unders about 5 times even after sitting on the potty for a good while, and headed the 10 minutes into town to get to the hospital, leaking the entire time. Get there and the nurses kept asking me if I was sure. I was very sure, not only was ther mecconium (sp?) But I've delivered numerous horses so I know the difference between a labor pee and water breaking. DD was delivered by c section a couple hours later.

I have no idea when it broke because like the OP said, my kid's head was blocking it.  They went to break it at the hospital and it was already broken.

I was sleeping peacefully through the first half of my induction until a group of like 4 residents popped in to break my water. After that it wasn't so easy to sleep, lol.

With DS1 it broke in bed around 3:30 a.m.  I rolled over and felt a small gush.  I thought I pee'd myself.  I got up and went to the bathroom and laid back down.  After about 10 mins I rolled over again and felt another gush.  After that, it just trickled down my leg for hours and hours. 

With DS2 (RCS) it was broken by my OB when she pulled him out.

Mine broke at 36w6d at home. I got lucky, I went to the bathroom first thing in the morning, stood up when I was done, and it just kept coming. Nothing big and dramatic, I just thought I couldn't stop peeing.
