Wine experts?

I am putting together a date night in gift basket for my brother and SIL. They just moved in down the street from a Chinese place they used to frequent while they were dating. I was going to get them a gc and a bottle of wine. Any ideas on what type of wine to get to go with Chinese? Or should I just get them something I know they will like?

    Depending on what their eating. You can kind of go either way. Do light red- pino noir or zin. If you do white do a Sauvignon blanc. 

    If you can find plum wine or sake. Those are best with Chinese food. Yummy :)

    What about sake or a rice wine? It really depends what type of Chinese food it is too. There are some good Chinese beers out there too.
