(NBR) Steam mops

The subject of steam mops came up on another post, and rather than hijack that, I thought I'd create a new post.

Lately I've really been giving these the eye whenever I'm at Walmart or Target. We have no carpet anywhere in the house, and honestly I don't mop as much as I should. But in a few months LO will be crawling on our dirty floors, so I better get used to mopping! 

For those that have them, are they worth it? Do you use it more often than a regular mop? Is there a specific brand you'd recommend, or stay away from?

I have one and bought it before my twins.  It is a Shark one.  It broke awhile back and I didn't want to spend the extra money and did the swifter mop…..big mistake.  I quickly went and bought another Shark from BBB with a coupon.  We use it once a week on our hardwood with Bona spray. I love it!!

We have a Shark Steam mop that we got when DS was born.  So much easier and better than a regular mop.  DH gave me the side eye when I bought it because he figured it wouldn't clean properly.  He uses is more than I do now.  We have all hard wood floors and its great!

I have the Bissell steam & sweep and I love it.  Worth every penny.

I love it for tile, I use it way more than I would ever mop and it's really quick. It gets the floors really clean too. Worth it!

I asked for the Bissell for Christmas! The Swiffer just doesn't cut it against the red dirt here in Hawaii  >:P

Shark Vac then Steam is amazing!! I have a hard time finding a vacuum that doesn't kick the dirt around on the hardwood floors so I'm obsessed with this one. plus the steamer part works really well.

I love my Shark steam mop! I think it does a much better job than a regular mop or a swiffer. It easily cleans up sticky messes from my hardwood and tile. I also love it to clean the grout in my showers.

I now feel like I need to get in my car and go to Target now!!! I have been eyeing these too, but wasn't sure if they were worth it on hardwood...thanks for posting!

I have a steam shark mop (and vacuum)and I love it! Works great on hard wood floors.

Anyone use a Shark on laminate "wood" floors??? I have them through most of our house. I currently use a Swiffer wet jet but my sister let me borrow her shark steam mop to try out

Do you just use the steamer or use some type of cleaner on laminate as well? Anyone?

I have a Shark steam mop and I love it! It cleans the floor so well. The first time I used it, I could really tell a difference, especially in the kitchen. It got the kitchen floor cleaner than I think it's been since we moved into our house 4 years ago! I usually use it about once a week, but will use it more often if there is something sticky on the floor because it cleans things like that so well.

I got a shark steam mop on Black Friday and am in love with it!!! So easy to use. I was to excited to use it and moped before sweeping and it left streaks but I knew better the next time. Floors look brand new after! GET IT!

Make sure you all use some type of purified water. Otherwise they get calcium build up.

I don't have one yet but put it on my Xmas list! My BFF has one and loves it for hardwoods! I too don't mop my hardwoods as much as I should so hopefully have a steam mop will help me out

Score! My dad just emailed, asking what I wanted for Christmas! So I told him steam mop. Double win actually, because now I don't have to ask boyfriend for it. We're not in a 'cleaning products for gifts' place in our relationship yet.
