Anterior Placenta

Is this something to be worried about? I think I heard the placenta could move? Anybody else have this as well?

I found out at our a/s that I have an anterior placenta too. I think it makes it a little more tricky if you are having a c-section because the doctor wants to avoid making an incision in the placenta. But, in this day and age, I'm sure they are pretty good at avoiding that (I hope!). Otherwise, it sounds like it just makes it more difficult to feel baby's movements until you are farther along. I've been feeling LO for several weeks, though, so that wasn't the case with us.

Hi- I have it too. My OB didn't say anything about it other than I might feel movements later than normal. She didn't mention it being an issue at delivery but I didn't ask either... I will now though!
My friend just delivered her second and she had it with both her children and She didn't mention it being a problem at all. She also did not have c-sections though.

I've got it too. I didn't and don't feel LO as much as others with otherwised placed placentas do, but I feel them enough to feel reassured.

It's not usually an issue, especially as your ute grows, the placenta takes up less room the bigger your ute gets so there's more room for feeling the baby.

I have one too. Movement just started to be regular for me now, but other than that, there aren't any other concerns. As long as it's not near your cervix, it should be all good!

Both the twins placentas are anterior. No issues I was told other than movement may be more difficult to feel. I kinda like it because I can hear the placentas easily on my Doppler and it helps me find the HBs easily lol.

I had one with my DD and had no issues, nor was I even warned of any. I felt movement later than most, which was disappointing because I was so excited to feel her move. But that was the extent of it.
