bad morning

DD learned how to climb out of her play pen this morning  ... and by climb, I mean fall face first out of it.  This is going to make getting ready in the morning more challenging.

I have been suggesting to DH that he get up 10-15 minutes earlier in the morning so that he'll be done showering by the time I have to leave for work and able to supervise her more closely.  Apparently, getting up 10 minutes earlier is unreasonably and we had a big fight about it. 

He suggested that we get a back pack with a leash and that I tie her to something while he gets ready...seriously, that was his suggestion.

This is just about to happen in our house too. I hope you have carpet. We have wood floors. Why do men not think before speaking? Sheesh, that would not be dangerous or anything!

sorry about your baby falling. 

In the morning when I'm getting ready I am a bad mom and plop my son in front of the TV.  I close all the doors to all the rooms so all he has access to is the TV room, hallway and the bathroom where I am.  I have several episodes of Bubble Guppies recorded on my DVR and all it takes is 15 minutes of him sitting watching the show while I get ready.   Hes so cute dancing to the intro song....

ashleynaka we do have wood too.  Maybe I should have left something soft outside of the play pen.   She cried but she was okay.  I'm just going to fold up the play pen now.

singingirl96  We do the same thing...but we put her in the play pen in front of the TV while we get ready.  I am not sure about leaving her loose in the living room...maybe she'll knock over the TV or something

If I ever tried to tell my H to get up 10-15 minutes early... It would just never, never happen. Ever.

And wow, what a suggestion. Really... Just  wow.
