10 Things

1. Moving is so not fun.
2. I'm loving all the extra space though.
3. DD seems to be getting close to crawling!
4. Since DH and I are both on vacation this week, we're doing a family outing day tomorrow.
5. I really wanted to put up a tree, but I don't know if it's feasible since there's still so many unpacked boxes everywhere.
6. I need to visit my uncle's (and father figure's) grave, I have never missed a year and I'm not starting new.
7. Brie is amazing, I only tried it for the first time yesterday.
8.Now I'm craving Brie.
9. It's snowing.
10. I have mondo laundry to do.

    1. I just got an invite to a NYE party, and am contemplating going. The invite (from people with a kiddo) said there will be plenty of places for the little ones to sleep. I'm worried about staying out til midnight, though. The next morning will HURT.
    2. Apparently I'm the only one on here with a gigantor baby, since no one has responded to my post about diaper sizes yet. haha
    3. LO is SOOO close to crawling. I think. I've been saying the same thing about cutting teeth for MONTHS, so who knows.
    4. LO has totally found his voice. The baby babble is hilarious :)
    5. I'm REALLY hoping the diarrhea is done. Because you know what's awesome? Baby diarrhea. And by awesome, I mean really NOT awesome.
    6. I'm excited for my vacation / sick / personal days to reset on January 1.
    7. I know it's winter, but I really need a pedicure. I haven't had one since July and my feet are looking rather caveman-like.
    8. I already have a Santa pick with LO, but want to take him to see Santa again since the first one is from daycare.
    9. We adopted a family for Christmas at work... and the stuff is being collected in my office. One of the gifts was household staples, and my office now smells like a laundromat.
    10. My nephew asked for a GIANT STUFFED DOG for Christmas. We managed to find him a giant stuffed chicken and a giant stuffed lion.. but no dog. 'Til last night...at the grocery store. Haha I ran to get LO some puffs and saw a GIANT BOX OF GIANT STUFFED DOGS. it was so random. And perfect. He'll be thrilled.

  • @allydncr, sorry to hear about your grandma and cousin, and that you're having a bad week just generally. I hope it gets better.

    1. Work sucks right now - resource constraints out the wazoo and everyone being bitchy about being asked to pick up the slack.
    2. Saturday night I dreamt I got laid off. Sunday night I dreamt I got sent to Japan for five nights for work (I don't have to travel for my job, although did domestic travel in previous roles). WTF?
    3. Babies kept us up from 4:30-5:30 this morning and I never really got back to sleep. Yawn.
    4. I'm having a lot of anxiety lately about not seeing my girls grow up. I think it's stemming from the fact that my older step-cousin has (we believe) terminal cancer - she's in her mid 40s and has two young daughters - one a pre-teen and the other one is 7 or 8 with Down's syndrome. My heart is breaking for those girls. And for my cousin, for all that she'll miss. Would appreciate any spare T&Ps for her... I can't stop thinking what if that happens to me?
    5. I hope my parents' gifts arrive in time for our gift exchange Saturday.
    6. We won't be with any family on Christmas Day, so DH, LOs and I are going to a fancy hotel for Christmas lunch. Otherwise we'd be eating frozen pizza.
    7. My mom bought the girls waaay more presents than I did.
    8. I'm making her a stocking to thank her for everything she does for us and LOs.
    9. I usually despise snow but for some reason I'm not minding it this year.
    10. I call my husband [first name] Ebeneezer because of his usual Scroogy attitude around the holidays, but he has been walking around the house belting out Christmas songs for days. WTF?

My H is a Scrooge, too. This year he's been singing along to carols in the car.

Guess having LO's gives them some spirit. Whatever it is , works for me. :D

    1. I burnt the Christmas cookies I was baking and now all my cookie sheets have the outlines of angels on them.
    2. The weather is beautiful here today.
    3. I am feeling very blessed and thankful.
    4. I look at the Christmas nativity scene very differently now that  I have had a baby.
    5. LO cries every time I change him
    6. I am reading the Golden Finch
    7. It is a pretty good book
    8.  LO is still taking some naps in his swing.
    9.  I am hiding LOs Christmas presents even though I could just put them out of reach.
    10.  Seinfeld is still the best.

  • 1. I'm in Maryland visiting family, heading to NY tomorrow, and then back to Maryland on Friday.
    2. I love being home, but I'm also missing the ease of being in our own house.
    3. The easy BF poo is officially gone, and I'm sad about it.
    4. If I put pears in food, G will eat twice as much as no pears. I think he got my sweet tooth. :(
    5. My Mom is dog sitting two dogs in her house while we visit. I am falling in love with one of them, which makes me feel guilty about my own dog, who is boarded right now.
    6. We've been awful with naps and bedtime so far this trip.
    7. My aunt isn't coming over at all while we're here and won't tell me why. Such a martyr.
    8. G is currently snoring while he sleeps on my lap.
    9. I think I'm done fighting bed sharing. He obviously is a snuggler, and he sleeps so much better with me.
    10. I'm nervous for this road trip. Fingers crossed for good driving weather!
