Moms of gigantor babies...

I am a mom of a gigantor baby, so I can say such things... ;-)

What size diaper is your LO wearing? I weighed and measured Owen at home (oh so accurately, I'm sure...) and according to my bathroom scale (weighed myself, then picked him up and weighed us together) - he's 25 pounds. I did my best to measure him, and THINK he's 29".  He's in size  4 diapers, but it seems like they're getting too small.

I told him that he's going to need to stop growing soon, or else we're going to have to switch over to Depends.

  • B is still in 3s and we seem to be doing okay. Hes been in the 85th-95th percentiles on height/weight since he was born, but I think hes slowing down too.

  • We're at 24-25lbs here and 29" as well and he wears cloth during the day and 4's in disposables at night. We cycle through different brands and right now the Honest Co. 4s fit best and the others are getting a bit small. The problem is in the side coverage, is that where yours is?
  • C is only 22.5 pounds, but somewhere between 29 and 30 inches tall.  We're still using Luvs size 3s during the day, but Huggies size 4 Overnites for nighttime.  We'll probably move entirely to size 4s soon, because the size 3s don't seem "deep" enough.

  • It is the sides, but also the top - the seem like they're getting a bit too short, maybe. We cycled through a LOT of brands to find ones that worked - usually, we're good with Kirkland (Costco) during the day, and lately Pampers Baby dry at night (We were using Luvs, but they started leaking on us). He's had a bout of diarrhea lately so nothing's working to be honest, but I think we'll need to revisit the diaper size situation again soon.

LO is 16lb 14oz, but she's also one of the youngest LO's on this board. Were in 3's.

ETA Not sure why I responded here, my reply makes no sense in context with the question, posting fail. :-/

  • Same here. We have been using 4s for a while. I feel that he moves around so much the poop always manages to work itself up.  I keep thinking well run out of sizes soon for the chunk a lunk.  I was using Pampers Crusiers during the day but he was getting weird rashes so now Im trying Pampers Swaddlers. At night we use the Pampers overnight ones that have moons and stars and they have worked for the most part.  Hes had a lot more diarrhea too..im wondering if its teething related?!? He seems to have been teething since 4 months and still no teeth.
  • C is 23lbs, 29" and he's been in 4s for a while. I'm sure 5s are in the near future:(

  • My baby is still in size 2's.  We will be moving to 3's when this box runs out.

  • As the mom of The Gigantor Baby (Ben was 24.9lbs and 34" at 6 months, and wears size 24 months), I say go up a size.  Ben is in size 5 Pampers.  For a while he shared size 4 with his 2 year old brother, but he has surpasses him this week.  I am sure he will be in Depends before his first b-day.  :(

I'd put a Movember mustache fail, but then
you'd all have to look at it until February.

    ^ whoa! He's really tall.
I blame DH's side.  He's 6'5", his brother is 6'11" and they have 2 uncles over 7'.  I feel like a hobbit around his family and from the way these boys are growing, they'll be bigger than my by kindergarten.

  • all i can say is holy balls...some of your kiddos weigh more than twice what S weighs! I can't help much with gigantor diaper sizes, but I know we usually end up moving S up in diaper sizes when she hits the weight limit OR the top of the diaper starts to go below her belly button...

  • We are still in size 3 target brand at 21 lbs and 28". He doesn't seem to be too big for them yet but now I'm wondering if he would be better in size 4.

  • Wow! This post makes me feel like m is tiny at 21 pounds and 28 inches at her 6 month appointment... We are firmly in size 4s, and they say they go to 37 pounds, so I was really really hoping we could make it a few months in these, but her belly seems to be pushing it! And, we still have blowouts almost daily at daycare. But that has been true in all sizes and brands, so I have branded her " the poop queen".

Aww that's me too. I'm the shrimp of DH's family at 5'7. DH is 6'7 his mom and sister are both 6'1 and even his grandma still beats me at 5'9 after shrinking.

But to OP R is 29-30inch in height but only about 20-21 pounds so I'm not that helpful except I found we can't use the pampers baby dry. They are much smaller/shorter than the swaddlers. We have the best luck with those, because R is tall we have the poop up the back issue a lot and those seem to at least give us a fighting chance.
  • MJ is about 24 lbs and he has been in 4s for a LONG time, since around September I think.  But (as my SIL says) he has a giant ass, the largest baby butt she has ever encountered.

MJ was 27 inches at 6 months (but still 23lbs), he is more of the ROUND type.
