Just curious if anyone has tips or tricks for making sexy time fun again? Sorry if this is TMI. Currently, the thought of DTD brings me to tears. Not sure if its just the pressure, or desperation for another pregnancy, or what. But it's certainly not helping matters. Ideas? Thinking Im not alone in feeling like this?
I just started to get out of that funk. I'm done with the temping and tracking etc...Based on our results I think we are headed towards IVF so I want to have fun sex before I'm told I can't:-) We had to abstain this weekend because of my Selective HSG on CD 12, but that kind of made it fun. We fooled around without actual sex. It was like when we first met again;-) Amazing how bad you want it when some doctor tells you that you can't.
Hmmm..sexy lingerie? That helped us too. I think for me the hardest part is getting out of my own head! Let myself just get caught up with the moment. A few glasses of wine help with that.
We aren't big into toys, but we do have dirty dice that we break out every once in a while. In fact, we used them over the weekend and I rolled horribly. I am declaring a rematch tonight
That's true @KC1212 or we'll just saying "Hey! You got my cookie??" wink wink. We know what's up.
Honestly I am not very into it lately either, OP. We started out this month having sex just for fun because this is another break cycle for us, but I'm already bored with it. So I got nothing
The hot dice game seems fun

OP sometimes the "quickies" are the hottest and then it's also not such a chore. I've heard many women who say that they don't let DH know it's their fertile week so it's "less pressure".
starting out is the hardest for me. Once things get going I'm usually good to go, if that makes any sense.

Ohhh.. Dirty dice does sound fun... This was a good topic, I was thinking about this myself. But I had been in a funk, because I could NOT DTD because of surgery. But I am in the clear now.
I like that dice game! We are pretty vanilla around here, but I could maybe handle a dice game. DH told me to read some more of "those books" because he noticed a difference last time when I did. Haha. I started one last night. Its good so far, and not over the top. I'm super boring. I tried reading the in flight series and it was way too much. If anyone wants a rec......tempt me by Isabel Morin is free on kindle. It's a six chapter romance novella and was exactly what I needed last time this happened.
We are in the rut, for sure. One day we'll get out. But to be honest, I don't have the energy to think about how right now. DH doesn't, either. We've talked about it a lot and are both in agreement that the love is fine, it's just all the other stuff we're wrapped up in right now (a special needs child, 2IF, work, looking for a new house, etc).
A glass of wine helps. And also I try to DTD all throughout the month so DH isn't always aware it's my fertile time. Now that we are on the treatment road though, I am not so sure I will be able to hide it. He's going to know I had my CD 12 ultrasound etc. In the past waking DH in the middle of the night, or in the living room, doing a different time of day or location helped to spice it up a little.
