That "Monday Moment" when...

You get a very stuffed up LO all cleaned up and in the car and get on the highway, only to hear a gigantic wet sneeze coming from the car seat and watch in the mirror in absolute horror as he proceeds to slurp all that snot right up into his mouth.

EEEWWW.

Any other "Monday Moments" anyone cares to share today?

Re: That "Monday Moment" when...

  • Ewww! So gross @lewispm!

My "Monday Moment" was dropping Riley off in her new room at daycare this morning. All the kids there are SO BIG and Riley looked so little compared to them. She was so confused and terrified that she wouldn't even eat her waffle, and she loves waffles. Mondays really blow when you have to leave your screaming kid at daycare. :((

So sad :( Been there with K too. I hope she gets used to the new room soon and I'm sure once she does, it will be even more fun for her getting to play with the bigger kids!

  • @summergirl1211 Mondays are the hardest for daycare drop-off, aren't they?  When we moved up, B was around kids his age, but it was still a rough transition.  He also cried like I've never seen for a full week, leaving me to drive to work in tears.  I'm sure she was fine as soon as you walked out and is having a blast.  Hope you aren't in a funk all day and your cuddle time is extra sweet!

@lewispm I just gagged a little.  Ewww.  Kids are DISGUSTING.

@aimee223 I have anxiety just reading that.  Amazon Prime to the rescue? ;)

I haven't had a Monday moment yet.  *knock on wood*

@stokedwifey - luckily I live 5 minutes away from a huge shopping center that has Target, Wal-Mart, Kohls, Best Buy, TJMaxx and a bunch others, and they're all open until 11 or 12 for Christmas, so I'm hoping I can get a lot done Friday and Saturday night after he goes to bed, and I'm off work Monday and Tuesday. I always wait until the last minute!
Good luck!  MH is in the same boat as you.  We hasn't bought me a thing and doesn't have his dirty Santa gift for this weekend.  Mine is all done.  Whew.

  • My Monday moment was getting 4 hours of sleep last night, then getting up and realizing that I have to juggle both kids by myself all day today. I've always had help for certain parts of the day. Nap, bath, and bedtime should all be very interesting.

I'm kind of excited about it and dreading it at the same time.

    HAHAHA eeewww!

That Monday Moment when you finally wrangle your screaming kid into a car seat, watch in the rearview as she turns her "no-leak" milk cup that leaks upside-down on the back seat, and get to the store with enough sanity left to do half your shopping only to find your kid has dropped a serious load.

And you forgot a diaper.  And your wallet.

    So back home you go.

    Rinse, repeat.  :((

*Edited because she was "screaming", not "creaming".  FML.

    I think you win.

  • My Monday moment was being almost 20 minutes late for my final despite leaving the house early. I have been late for every single quiz/ test this semester, why would the final be any different?!??!
