implantation spotting? preeetty sure!

hellooooo :) nearing the end of this (insufferable!) TWW.  as I've mentioned, it's our first try but we did all we could to maximize our chances (temping, mucinex, went to sleep inverted after insemination, pineapple, preseed, speculum, etc.).  we couldn't stand it (read: I couldn't stand it), so we tested on 8dpo and 10dpo (today) - bfn.  i surprisingly found relief in the bfn... i think i was more worked up to test than anything.  i knew it was too early.

buuut then.. today!  today i started to have some slight cramping/"pulling" sensations around 12 noon.  it was accompanied by clear, elastic CM, but both "symptoms" passed fairly quickly.  then at about 2 pm, the cramping returned (and was slightly more intense) and spotting started!  i took this implantation spotting quiz (https://www.babymed.com/could-this-be-implantation-bleeding-or-spotting-quiz) and signs all point to implantation bleeding.  my plan was to test again tomorrow on 11dpo... but maybe it's still too early.

if you experienced implantation spotting on a pregnancy, how soon after it did you test positive??  any thoughts or feedback are, of course, welcome.  FINGERS CROSSED!!
Me: 32  DW: 26 - married in october 2013!
TTC baby #1 at-home AIs with frozen donor sperm through cryobank, no meds

#1 early december 2013: 1 vial ICI/IVI at 8 hours past +OPK, likely a chemical loss at 9dpo
#2 late december 2013: 1 vial IUI, timing was way off, BFN
#3 took a month off and trying again mid-february... would love TWW buddies!

Re: implantation spotting? preeetty sure!

  • I would save yourself some squinting and wait until Wednesday.  Even if it is implantation bleeding, odds are low that you would get a BFP tomorrow.  However, if you do test tomorrow, I will keep my fingers crossed for you! :)
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • You might go over and ask on the first tri board or someplace loaded up with pregnant women too - people are usually happy to share about things like this.

I got all my BFPs on 10dpo though two of the three were mega squinters. 11dpo were pretty much undeniable. Good luck if you test!! :) oh and all three were late at night - for me, FMU gives the lightest lines - evening pee seemed way better for me.

  • While I am crossing my fingers for you, I think you need to wait and just test. During the TWW we tend to over analyze every little twinge in our bodies and it can really be a huge let down if you get a negative. Wait it out and then you will see.

  • 2MamazInSeattle  Thank you for that advice. I know they usually say morning pee, but I always wondered. I wanted to test on Sunday and give it to the DW when we open gifts but that would be only 9diui and I am pretty sure that is too early (doesn't mean I won't LOL) Soooo, maybe wait until xmas eve and that should be 11dpiui and tell her I forgot to give her one gift (only if it is a BFP obviously)
