Hands-Free baby gate for top of stairs?

Hi everyone,

I'm just running by here quick for your recommendations.  DH and I are wanting to buy a hands-free baby gate for the top of the stairs - as we are going to be transitioning our DD into a big girl bed very soon. 

The one I looked into was perfect...but then it said "Not intended for use at the top of the stairs."    The only reason I can assume it would say that is because the stepping mechanism on one side would be completely useless.

Any recommendations?  TIA!

We bought and use this for the top of our stairs, and I love it. It is loud though so that is something to be aware of, but it has never been a problem for us.

I'd advise strongly against a hands free gate if you're intending for it to keep your daughter from going downstairs.  They're smart little people and those gates will be easy for them to her figure out.  We have the Regalo walk through gate and we can open it with one hand but the lever is spring loaded so it's very tough for little hands to do.
