Cloth Diapering

silly question

SO keeps worrying about this but I've never heard it discussed in my CD research (LO isn't here yet)

He's worried when throw our CDs in the pail that the mess from the inside of some diapers will get on the outside of other diapers.

I've never known exactly how to answer him when he brings it up but just that i haven't heard of that being a problem.

We are planning on BFing.

Re: silly question

  • So normal stain removal technique of sunning works for the outer material/darker colors of CDs or do you find that the washer usually gets it off the outside of the dipes too?

  • And it's not like the insides are covered in poo stains if you don't sun. I have literally sunned 2 diapers in my 15 months of CDing. And that was b of blueberries. NB poop is water soluble. It all washes out. It's not a big deal.

And, even if there is a stain, it doesn't mean the diaper isn't clean. I've never stressed if there is a little bit of a stain on the inside, though, because they're just going to pee and poop in it again and I'll be washing it again in a day or two, and stain doesn't = not clean.
