Into! Too excited to wait until I can post on the TTC board...

Hello!

DH and I have been married for about 3.5 years, and we're tentatively planning on TTC beginning late this summer or early this fall. I just turned 26, and my husband turns 27 next week (he was a Christmas Eve baby!). I don't really have much to post on the TTC board since we're not technically trying yet, so I thought this board might be a good outlet while I wait.

I used to post on TB a lot, mainly on the baby name board, because I love, love, love name etymology. Other things I love: anything by Tolstoy, living in the city, traveling, watching documentaries, wine, yoga, politics, and anything related to urban planning. My interests are kind of across the board ...

MH works in the wine industry, which is really fun and has allowed us to meet a lot of interesting people. I'm an editor for an online news and marketing organization.

So anyways, we have a few things left to do before we start TTC. We are pretty set financially (not that we have a ton of money, but we both have solid jobs and a good amount of money in savings), but we are hoping to find a more family-friendly apartment before having a baby. We live in Chicago and love being car-free (most of the time), so keeping that part of our lifestyle intact is important to us.

About 4,738,294,382 of my friends from Wisconsin (where I grew up) are currently pregnant, so it's fun to live vicariously through them in the meantime.

I was at UW LaCrosse in 2009 to present at a conference when I was in college... I loved it there!
