I've been experiencing this for the past 10 days or so, too. My doc just suggested Tums because they're safe. I haven't tried it yet because the texture of Tums makes me gag, but that was the only thing they said I could try for now. GL and I hope you find some relief - it stinks!!!

Ugh yeah the heartburn is brutal! Tums weren't cutting it for me so I asked my OB and she said I could take Zantac. I've been taking it one to two times per day and taking two Tums before bed since it's worst at night! Ask your OB what you can take- it's not worth being miserable every day!
So I called my doctors office at 9am and they just called me back at 5pm. Really. Lol 8 hrs to get a call back, good thing I had you ladies so I could tell DH just to grab me some tums on the way home. Thank you!
Tums. They really do work! I understand zantac is okay too which also works well, but I haven't used it since becoming pg.

You can take up to 150mg of Zantac daily. You can also take nexium. I am currently on Prilosec in the am and Prevacid in the pm.
I will have to remember this!
I take Tums currently, but as I'm starting to take up to six a day now I'm realizing they're just not cutting it. They do have extra calcium in them too, so that's a nice bonus for a crappy symptom!
My OB said I can only take one zantac 75 before bed so I guess its different for every OB but all I took was one Tums chewable and I slept like a baby.
