Bed rest check in?

Hi ladies, Unfortunately there are some more people recently that are on bed rest. If you are like me, perhaps you are spending a lot of time online and checking the board. Therefore, I thought it might be nice to have a check in about how it is going and staying positive. Anyone else interested or think this is a good idea?

Ok ladies what are your favorite tv series? I have been on bed rest now for four weeks and have been watching a ton of TV! I highly recommend something like netflix. I've been watching Parenthood hadn't see it before but thought it looked good. I'm addicted and watching multiple (by that I mean 4 or more!) episodes a day!

I have been watching & paying for the worlds worst hospital cable ever lol. So I had my mom bring me the laptop and tablet. I am going to search Netflix today and see what I can get into. I was watching breaking bad with DH, but I need something diff. I'll check out parenthood, any other suggestions?

Is anyone here on hospital bed rest? Omg, its like as soon as I fall asleep the nurses come in and stick a thermometer in my mouth and strap my arm up for my BP. They all are the sweetest women ever but geese I just wanna sleep one night thru. My legs are starting to get sore (been here since Monday) so later today I'm going to get up and move around.

Anyone else feel out of the holiday spirit? Christmas is completely off my radar, and new years is DH and I's anniversary.. both are not on my mind. I haven't bought one gift, and don't know if I want to this year. My mind is so preoccupied.

Hang in there ladies, and lets keep the thread going. I think it will help us all stay sane.

I love walking dead but I literally watched every episode twice lol. I think DH Is going to buy me a portable dvd player. If not, I have the laptop here with me, I just want to watch something else! Dh is coming by today but not staying the night. The recliner here isn't too comfy and he's 6'2 so he says he's gunna stay here for a while then head home before the storm starts. I'm kinda sad, I miss being home . Cuddling and being normal. I'm jealous that he gets to do whatever he wants while I'm on lockdown.

Well my mom is bringing me food from this amazing spanish restaurant and I'm so excited to eat lol. I tried going for a walk down the hall but they sent me back. According to the nurses, the rumor is I'm delivering on tuesday but what do they know? I hope these next two days FLY by!

I'm with you @ForevAAROSE! Hospital bedrest for what I hope is many weeks. I maybe slept 3 hrs last night with vital checks, and one of the IV antibiotics I'm on burns and causes my arm to ache like crazy. Kept me up the second half of the night.

The TV here sucks and is crazy expensive. DH is also bringing my laptop and probably some seasons of "friends" and "sex in the city". I'm so tired, I need something light right now, and in definite need of some laughs!

Sorry you guys can't sleep with all of the checks and stuff! When I was in the hospital it was the same- so frustrating!! If it's helpful at all, other things I have been doing to occupy myself when I get bored with TV are: crocheting (baby blanket, baby hat, scarf for gift) Puzzles- felt good to use my brain a bit even though I'm not a big puzzle person Games on my phone/tablet- word games, fruit ninja, ect. Writing thank you notes for baby gifts and now moving to holiday cards Online shopping- some gifts but also things we still need for LO and good sales- lots of places have free shipping! Emailing/calling friends Also for tv I love Gilmore girls, cooking shows (which seem to be best between 12-2 ha! I don't watch tons of TV or anything...), Dawson's creek on Netflix is a fun blast from the past. I find I spend a lot of time thinking about food and eating. So the combo of bed rest and eating a lot is adding up to lots of lbs. anyone else thinking of food a lot?

We just started Continuum on Netflix and it's pretty good! It's a sci-fi kinda thing but pretty light.

I have to admit, I have been thinking about food too much. I just ordered a grilled chicken salad for dinner because I've been stocking up on the carbs too much. I'm a sure I gained a few lbs here so far.

The MFM doctor just came in, said that NST strips look textbook perfect and baby seems to be really happy. If my fluids maintain steady at or above 4.75 (which they've been for two days now) and the baby doesn't show any signs of distress, then she doesn't see why I can't go home and come in every other day to check up and schedule a csection at 37 weeks. When she said that my eyes lit up! I am so flipping thrilled to hear those possibilities! You have no idea what a relief that was to just hear that possibility.

My ultimate goal is to get her to cook as long as possible and me to stay as sane as possible. Ill be 34 weeks tomorrow. If they have me stay in here until 37 weeks, then they'll need to transfer me to the damn psych ward.

Snow storm oover here to DH isn't coming today - bummmer. So much for support. But my mom is coming by with panera bread later (talk about carbs).

This is such a great idea! I would have loved this when I was on bed rest. I finished Orange is the New Black while on br. Other Netflix shows I highly recommend are: Lost (my fave!), Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, and Sons of Anarchy. Oh and 30 Rock if you like comedy!

Parenthood is the best show!

Totally hooked to orange is the new black. 4 episodes in. Gues this will keep me occupied. Praying I can go home Monday!
