This may be a dumb question but I am going to ask it anyways. 

How bad is licking envelopes while pregnant? I was writing out our Christmas cards last night and didn't think anything of it. I think I did about 30. Immediately after sealing them I was nauseous and got sick. I am probably paranoid and I wouldn't think they would be toxic but just wanted to ask my fellow A12 bumpies!

I wouldn't think anything bad would happen if you licked envelopes. I did it my whole pregnancy. If you're truly concerned though, call your doctor.

GWP, that's exactly what I was thinking about!

I'm pregnant and really funny about chemicals, but didn't worry about licking envelopes for the holiday cards.

I think it's fine.  That said, everything made me nauseated while pregnant, and I'm sure envelope licking would have been on the list, too!

envelope licking always makes me nauseated, but I really wouldn't worry about it.

I think it's okay. But if you are worried about licking too many, damp a paper towel and use that.

I personally don't like licking them- they taste nasty
