Re: ~~~First Tri Check-In 12/13/2013~~~
I am 12 weeks and have been very lucky and thankful to not have had many symptoms thus far. I am looking forward to my next OB appt in a week and am really hoping for an ultrasound so that we can make sure baby's okay. As I'm approaching 2nd tri I am finally starting to get a little excited that this is really happening!!
QOTW: I have been finding myself craving protein and salty foods (which is a change from pre-pregnancy). Fruit also sounds good to me pretty much all of the time. And I bought a jar of pickles!
Hope all of you have a great weekend!
Me: 06/12 Dx w/ IR PCOS (rx 2000 metformin) DH: SA all clear; looking good
06/12-10/12- Clomid/Femara + trigger + TI + P4 = 3 BFNs, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, D&C
11/12 - 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI + P4 = BFN
12/12 - Surprise BFP ectopic (MTX 01/13)
04/13 - Off the Bench! 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI #2 + estradiol + P4 = BFN
05/13 Clear HSG-5 mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + IUI #3 + P4 = BFP ectopic (MTX 07/03 & 07/11)
07/23 emergency lap to remove ectopic mass and left tube
My nausea/vomiting has decreased greatly since I've started taking Unisom at night, it's wonderful. I had lost about 13 pounds after IVF and since then put on about 5 since I'm able to actually eat and keep down food now. Yay. Besides the afternoon tiredness that hits like a truck I'm feeling pretty good these days!
Hope you all are doing well!
QOTD: I haven't really had food cravings, probably b/c I wasn't really eating a whole lot lol. I do have numerous aversions though! The biggest and most constant is probably meat. Ick. I am eating a lot of protein bars these days
@katekat8721 ~ So glad to hear your NT scan went well and that your morning sickness has been improving! I eat a protein bar pretty much every day.
My NT scan is on Monday...I'm not crazy about going to it because I'm not a big believer in all the testing that they do these days, but I'm going because it's baby #1 and I really just want to see baby again, I could really care less about the results of the scan.
QOTW: The very first week I knew I was pregnant all I wanted was eggs in any way, shape and form. But since then I can't really say that I've had cravings for anything. I have been leaning towards fruit and sweeter things a lot, and usually I'm more of a savory person...maybe it's a girl! haha

Welcome @liz4paws! I hope your first u/s next week goes well.
@FutureMrsW9 ~ I know what you mean about just wanting to see the baby again. We decided not to do the NT scan but now I'm second guessing because we haven't seen our baby in a month and I really want to make sure baby's okay!
@ThoseThreeWords ~ Yay for a great first u/s! So sorry to hear you've been having morning sickness. I hope you feel better soon.
@AlmostWright ~ Glad your first OB appt went well! I also have had a lot of cramping in the first tri. They said as long as it's not accompanied by bleeding than it's normal, that it's due to uterine stretching or constipation (ick!). My DH also has to put up with the worrywart in me.
Cravings: I've been craving more bland carbs than normal. Cold milk. Oranges.

@krdesi ~ Everyone is different, but my RE actually stopped my meds right after my 2nd beta. I was so worried to stop them because it seemed so early, but everything has gone fine. Oh yeah, and grilled cheese sounds yummy right now.
@brooklynesque ~ That's so great to hear you've been symptom free!
QOTD: My craving is bagels!!! Really it's bread in general, but bagels would be my preference. I was the same way with my last 2 pregnancies.
hi ladies! 12wk2d here - all going well so far! Had our NT scan on Tuesday, should get results by the end of next week. Next OB appt. is Dec. 27th - that's probably too early to find out the genders, but we'll see if the doctor will make a guess ;o)
QOTD: Chocolate milk! That is my only real craving so far - the pre-mixed chocolate milk you buy in the gallon jug, whole milk and really rich...so yummy!

@sarah_beth2005 ~ Hope your NT results come back good!
@VioletteGrayskies ~ So cute that you're calling your baby Pickles.
QOTW - I'm definitely having salty cravings: one night, I ate a big bowl of peas doused in butter and salt - so good! And Chex Mix (I buy the snack bag instead of making it at home). I participated in a holiday cookie swap at work this week but have zero desire for sweets! I've definitely developed an aversion to crab
@sarah_beth200D5 My doc said that she'd be able to tell gender around 11 weeks! Unfortunately, the u/s tech that they have come into their office doesn't take my insurance so I have to go to the regular MFM and they typically won't tell you even if they do see something at the NT scan since they can't be certain. That said, we're not finding out the gender of our LO until his/her birthday, but the option is def there now if you want it, and you're only a day behind me so they should be able to tell by now :-)

It is so great to have more preggos joining our check-in every week!
I just turned 13weeks today, and I so don't feel ready to graduate to 2nd Tri! As most of you guys saw earlier this week, I had a gush of bright red blood while I was at a meeting at work, and I thought it was all over. I was so scared! The u/s showed both babies looking so happy and a SCH that I didn't know about. They said it is about 3 x 3cm and near the cervix, so it might continue to bleed some. Over the last 48hrs, I have had some spotting and some bright red blood, but no gushes and nothing nearly as heavy as Weds morning. I am hoping and praying that it resolves and doesn't affect the babies!! Thank you all for your well wishes too!
I am also still having a lot of nausea/vomiting (it can stop any day now!) My OB switched me from zofran to Diclegis, and I think Zofran was a better fit for me, but I will be finishing the Diclegis because it was so expensive! (grrr insurance wins again!)
QOTW: sadly still more aversions for me. anything made by someone else tastes better! my mom was right about that one! unfortunately DH has finals this and next week, so Chinese food anyone?
I look forward to seeing you all on 2nd Tri!! hopefully I won't be such a complainer then!

NT scan and Mat21 are scheduled for 1/8. I could technically have gotten them earlier but they only do them M and W; Mondays are bad for us and both Christmas and NY Day are Wednesdays. Boo. Either way, we should know by mid-January a) if the baby has any trisomies and b) what we are having!!! At that point we'll probably go public.
QOTW: I am sort of obsessed with breakfast burritos right now.

@JennyS86 ~ Congrats on graduating to 2nd tri! Sorry to hear about the SCH though - I hope it resolves soon. Glad to hear your babies are okay though!
@uagirl ~ Glad to hear your morning sickness has improved, but I hope it continues to get better. And ice cream is always a delicious choice.
@JSM0801 ~ Hope you're able to take some naps every now and then to help with the fatigue. And yay for weening off of the meds!
Hi ladies! 8w2d here. I have just not felt well lately. I gag and throw up almost every time I brush my teeth and take my meds at night. Luckily the constipation has eased up. I just feel "blah". We got some "pregnancy announcement" photos done today that we will use whenever we announce on FB in 2nd tri. It was fun!
QOTW: no cravings, mostly aversions. Some things may sound better than others at times. I guess I should some, some things sound more "tolerable". I'm just a big pile of pitiful.

Hunger pangs have started. I feel hungry every 3-4 hours.
I have an appointment on Monday. I'm dying to see baby and my ovaries. I'm praying they have shrunk so I can running. I miss it so much!
I'm supposed to go out tonight and right now I have no desire. I think I might make myself. I feel I'll regret not leaving the house more than dressing up and spending time out.
Btw, if there are any runners out there. I'm organizing a group to run the January 2015 Disney World FL marathon! That's 7 months post baby. Should be amazing! There is a group on fb. Just join the June 2014 Mommies group and I'll add you from there

@almostWright , I should try that. The worst, I think, is the B6 vitamin because it tastes so bad and then I'm all gaged by the time its teeth brushing time. I think I can work with it, I just need to make sure I keep my head down so that the paste doesn't get at the back of my tongue and I have to pinch my nose closed when I take the B6 due to the taste so I won't throw up. Fun times! Thanks for the advice!
