Help. Baby constipated

My lil guy will be 6 months old this week and today he was straining to poop. Now he's crying when trying to poop. I'm going to do peaches next few days to try to help him out and perhaps drink another cup of coffee to see if that helps him. I know breastfeeding is a natural laxative already. But should we do suppositories? Of all three kids I've never had this happen. He's be doing cereal just fine for about a month, and we introduced some fruits and veggies about two weeks ago with no issues until now he's ebf. Thanks ladies

Try an ounce or two of prune juice. If he won't take that, try apple juice (must be from concentrate, like Motts).

Apple prune juice / grape juice will often help.  I know with my first, I had to put a tsp of Milk of Magnesia in a bottle each day for two months.  It helped keep her regular.  Ask your pedi if this is an option for yours.  LO leveled out one day, and has been fine ever since.  If you have too, the liquid fleet suppositories work instantly.  Just be ready with 3+ diapers.  When it comes....it goes!

My Pedi tells us to use pear juice.  It seems to work every time.  I just mix it with her formula.

skip the cereal and just feed fruits and veggies. no bananas or potatoes.  stick with fibrous fruits and green veggies.
