What do you call the baby?

I saw this poll on another board and I thought it would be fun to do here.

H and I refer to the baby as "Frankie".  We wanted an actual nickname and thought it would work for a girl or boy.  We will probably call the baby Frankie as a nickname occasionally after he or she is born (their real name will be very different from Frankie).  Even though it's definitely inappropriate because of the actual song, whenever I am worried about something H will say "Frankie Says Relax", which cracks me up.  My parents gave Frankie a Thanksgiving card this year - so cute.  It's fun to have a name other than "it".

So...what do you guys use?

I refer to the baby as "Emory" because that's our last name and it actually works as a real name lol

we call it what ever size it is at the time, so right now it is the little prune :-)  most other times it is our little rockstar :-)

We call it our bean.. even though we have names picked out, I'm more comfortable with Bean until it starts to resemble an actual human.

We legit conceived during Game 6 of the World Series... So has been nicknamed "Papi" thus far   GO SOX!!!

Similar to this, though we change it up.  We made it to lime today, so this week the baby will be called Margarita.  We call the baby something based on what size fruit it is, not the actual fruit.  Did this last time around too and had fun coming up with the different possibilities.

I've been calling the baby peanut, but DH has been having fun creating names based on the fruit size. The baby is the size of a lime right now, so he's calling him "Limell Richie"

Nugget, peanut and baby. DH calls it BJ (Brian Jr) as a joke but honestly I'm terrified that it'll stick.

We call it Sprout (what I started calling the baby before it was even conceived) or the little duckling, because in our first US Sprout resembled a rubber duck.

I usually call it tiny human. it's not very cute... But it's the best logic can come up with. My mom calls it the "grand berry" since when we found out it was berry sized, or we thought it was. My husband calls it Bruce Wayne (he's ah... A batman fan and wants a little boy to name Bruce Wayne on the basis that Wayne is my daddy's middle name. I've warned him that I will tell the nurses that everyone who says they know me is crazy and I have no family at all.) in the hopes of a son... Yet another reason why I hope it's a girl, so I don't even have to deal with a "compromise"

We picked out all A names so right now we call the baby "baby A". Everytime I do I can't help but think of PLL. But still....

My dad started calling it the little "refried bean" a few weeks ago when he found out my SO is half Latino (previously he had though he was Italian or something lol) and now it has stuck and we all use it.

DD was peanut when I was pregnant until we found out the sex and then she was baby girl or peanut girl.

Really funny story we call the baby "wee willie winkle"

DS has this good night book he likes to be read every minute of the day so one day while reading it "Wee Willie Winkle" is one of the stories my husband said that was the baby in mommy's belly so now DS will point to my belly some days he says "winkle" and some days he says "baby" EXTREMLY CUTE!!

We refer to he/she as "the new baby", totally uncreative, I know. It is funny though because my DS now sometimes refers to his sister as the "old baby."

DH started calling it "Rio" (like short for embryo) when baby was an embryo and it kind of stuck. Now we don't know what to call it though- you can't really make a cute name out of "fetus".

I found out I was pregnant the night before we went to game 6!  Couldn't drink there but it was worth it.  My DS we got BFP 5 minutes before we left for game 6 of the Stanley cup finals in 2011 when the Bruins won it!

We call the baby the fruit of the week, so our little prune this week.

We call baby our little gummy bear because that is what it resembled at our last ultrasound. Looked like a little wiggling gummy bear.

Twoey.  If you have seen Little Shop of Horrors, my first ultrasound made this lo look like the plant from that movie.  Hence the name.

We have named our baby "little monster". Yes, very out there especially when I'm referring it my baby but that's just mine and my husbands personality.

So far we haven't stuck to just one.  The nicknames we use most often are the current fruit (so currently "little lime"), the bun, the bean, tiny human, and little alien (because the baby totally looks like an alien in the first US pictures from 10 weeks 4 days... cutest little wiggly alien I've ever seen though! ;-))

Cletus...for Cletus the Fetus. DH said it as a joke one day and then it sorta stuck. We called DS the Dragon cuz he was due in the year of the dragon. 2014 is the year of the horse. I don't want to call it horse or pony or anything like that, but Cletus seems like it could be a horse's name so there ya go.

Aside from the occasional "nugget", peanut and beanie, we came up with "baby blue jay" because his or her room color and theme color will be sky blue (even if its a girl). DW and I also both love and own birds so we thought it would be a cute connection.

Peanut. As in "Peanut really hasn't liked me today!" We called DD Poppy until we found out the sex at 18weeks then started calling her Evie Bug which has stuck to this day.

We've decided recently that we're not going to find out the sex of this one until he or she is born so this one will likely be Peanut until then!

Tough Baby!  I had no clue at the time (or else I probably would not have participated), but about a week and a half after conception, DH and I completed the Tough Mudder!  I think our baby is probably the youngest to ever complete the course

DS was rice cake. This one hasn't gotten a nickname besides lil devil since this pregnancy is so much rougher then my first.

We call this one the royal baby.  Last Summer, DS was very excited about the news coverage regarding the royal baby and he talks about it a lot.  We figured if we talk about the royal baby in front of DS it's NBD and we don't have to worry about him telling others about expecting until we are ready.  I don't trust 2.5 year olds to keep secrets.
