A new level of bedsharing

I just realized that bedsharing is now just as nice for me as it is for DS. I've really grown to like having his little body next to mine, hearing his little sleeping sighs, even feeling his little kicks and the weight of his legs draped over me.

And I love love LOVE seeing his precious little face first thing in the morning, when he's still kind of out of it, but lights up when his eyes meet mine.

  That's why I'm still bedsharing at 18 months... never, ever in a million years thought this would be us.

I found out just how much I love bedsharing when we transitioned DS to his own bed. It's right on the floor next to ours but I COULD NOT SLEEP! I've grown accustomed to his little furnace body next to me, and I would stare at him from my bed for hours. Finally he'd stir and I'd hop down to nurse him. Next thing I knew, it was morning. Whoops!

I sort of had to "sleep train" myself so that I could unlearn my own nurse to sleep association. LOL

I totally feel the same way about my 14 month old dd.

I still have my 4 & 2 year old in our bed. Not really planning on changing it soon either
