So my 19 year old SIL just had her baby boy. (my DH's parents basically adopted her when she was 13) So her biological grandmother told her this, "you don't need to spend money on expensive formula, I have a recipe at home we can make."

*facepalm*!!!

Anybody else have some good facepalm moments?

    I can't think of any right now but, OH. DEAR. LORD!!! I'm hoping that someone around that baby has some sense :(

    IVF #3 July 2012 ET of 3 on day 3 7/24 BFP!

    No! Please no! I hope she is smarter than that, yikes!
    My mil suggested feeding jello sprinkled in water since my supply was low. Definitely face palm.

    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    That's how they used to so it before formula. My grandma said they mixed Karo syrup and dry milk to make my dad's formula when he was a baby. Crazy!

    Unexplained Infertility

    After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

    Thank you! I don't know your SIL's situation, but I get so annoyed when people choose not to bf (not that they can't, but that they won't even try) and yet complain about the price of formula.

    She planned on breastfeeding, until the baby was born. Then she decided not too b/c it was easier to bottle feed. She's on welfare, living in a house for teenage mothers. Like it's basically a group home. That's her though, she is just like that.
