Kinderpack question?

Hi ladies,
I am in the market for a Kinderpack and of course the pattern I am fond of is currently not available in the standard/standard, but it's available as a standard/plus. My husband and I tried on the s/s and found it to fit fine for us both. But I am wondering if we could get away with the s/p size. I am a size 14 and tall, my husband is also tall and a 36/38 waist, so we aren't tiny people. I just don't know if the plus would be too big to fit us appropriately. Any thoughts? I am inquiring with my local group to see if we can try on a s/p, but so far no luck. TIA.

I have no idea about the sizes, but I'm curious: which pattern do you like? I am a huge fan of the bicycles and of the blue and green one (don't remember what it's called).

The sizing changes are in the shoulder straps, the waist is essentially the same, so my concerns are to whether or not we can get dd secure in the larger size, can't really be sure from the website.
Good news is I found one locally to try on! And I am in love with the vintage camera print @emerald27 but the bicycles was number 2!
