For those that got Los ears pierced when did you do it and who did it?

We got E's done at 5 months, at Claire's. I was hesitant to go there, but after a lot of calling around, they really were the most experienced and knowledgeable. And they did a great job. She only cried because I was holding her down, and was totally fine afterwards. Never messed with them at all.

I wish I had the guts to get Molly's ears pierced. I worry that she'd rip them out etc. I got mine done when I was six, and the first one hurt so bad that I saidi didn't want my other ear done, and I didn't mind looking like a pirate.

3 months & at the pedi's office. Don't be surprised if you hear from a lot of haters about it.

My LO is a boy so we haven't been considering this issue. But my sister got hers done when she was 12 and had to do chores to earn the money to do it so she could prove she was responsible enough to do the cleaning herself and that it wasn't a snap decision. I didn't get mine done until I was 23!!! I wish I had done it earlier. But I'm not sure if I had a girl I would do it as an infant. I kind of liked how my mum did it for my sister. GL though!

We got Hannah's done at 3.5 months. We went to a place called Caryl Baker Visage, it was the one that was recommend in my area by public health. Hannah was great, she left it alone and they healed nicely.

From PP comments, we actually didn't get any hating about the ear piercing, lots of compliments actually. And of course some old ladies being like "oh her ears are pierced?"

My mom had mine done at a year old. I kinda like the wait until they are older though as a special event.

I got mine done around 6 or 7 I think. And I remember it being so traumatic. That's why I wanted to do it when E was too young to remember.

My mom had mine done when I was 5 or 6 and I had the same experience.  I was also mad at her because I didn't really like girlie things then and didn't want earrings.  When I was 12, I began to like earrings, and she took me to get second holes.  I remember it being a fun day with her and my grandma.


Glad to know it does get better. And that you had a better experience later.

I had mine done when I was 8 and it was a really fun day with my grandma. We went shopping and went out for lunch. It did hurt a lot, but it was okay since they did them both at once.

My mom had me and my sisters done at the same time.  I was 6 and she was 4.  I remember it hurt for a second but my mom had a surprise toy for me as soon as they were done and that worked wonders!
