Another shower question?

I was just informed over the weekend that I am having another shower (which makes 5) ... They are planning on making it for the end of February and that makes me around 34 weeks..  This kind of scares me that it is too far and I was trying to have all of them before 30 weeks... I just texted my friend that is planning on throwing it and asked her if we could have it earlier because I am worried of possibly being on bedrest or delivered by then?   Do you think it is wrong of me to ask this... or should I just go with the flow?  I know they are really excited and are possibly doing a co-ed party and I just don't want to miss out on it because I am excited too... It seems when I tell people that I would like it earlier I dont think they fully understand a multiple pregnancy

That is exactly how I feel!  I have tried to have just 1 big one but people were getting upset and wanted to throw their own (like my stepmom for my dads side)  Soo it all got split up.. I might ask my mom to go in with one of the other showers!  You are right that every weekend will be consumed with going to showers... Which I am soo greatful for but sounds exhausting to be honest! and I want time to be able to get things ready for the nursery on top of working Full time..

My friend wanted to throw one for me at 33 weeks, but I asked her to move it up. Of the 5 people I know  in real life who have had twins, only one would have been able to attend a shower at 34 weeks. The others were all bed rest or delivered by then. How fun to have five showers! We are having 3 and I'm so excited, I can't stand it!

5 showers?? And one at 34 weeks? I'm tired just thinking about that, and I'm not even pregnant! I agree w/ what @MrsLee04 said. I hope you have fun at all these showers, but if you're not feeling up to that last one, listen to your body....you and your babies come first!

We're having two or three, but I know only one will be before the babies come. That will be for family in open house style, and hopefully, we'll be able to accomplish the big things. I know we're doing another after the babies are born with friends so we can fill some of the unexpected gaps in what we still need. And there would be plenty of "pass the baby."

I would have asked to move it too.  The chances you'll make it to that shower aren't great and even if you can you will probably be so uncomfortable you won't want to go.

Thanks everyone for your input!  I know that 5 showers sounds exhausting!  I try to tell people I would like to have less and just have all those people come to different showers and people keep saying that I should take as many baby showers as I can get!   I am truly grateful that people want to throw me showers but I work every 3rd weekend.. Then having showers on my weekends off.. I wont have enough time to enjoy putting the nursery together if I am never home and I won't have time to relax!

Were having 2 and my only request was that they were before 28w. I had wanted one big one as well but my mom started drama. I don't see anything wrong w asking to move up the one planned for 34w.
