My complaint starts on Saturday. Y DH and I dropped Emmett off at his aunt's house so that we could go to lunch, a movie, a get some Christmas shopping done. Well, I got food poisoning from our lunch and spent the entire night throwing up (sorry!). Then, I had to watch Em almost the entire next day by myself. He has been a little off all week after his shots, but he spent the entire day screaming. Nothing I did would help him. Then, we were scheduled to take family pics at 2:30. I was already kind of upset because the arctic temps ruined my outdoor picture ideas. Well, about 10 mins before our photographer showed up my DH got a call that his 99 year old grandmother was about to die. We decided to take the pics quickly and then drive over there. My husband's eyes look bloodshot in all the pics and we couldn't get Em to crack a smile the entire time. Fast forward to today. I get a call at work from the babysitter saying that Em has a high fever. She took him to the doctor and I got home as soon as I could. Even with ibuprofen, he's been burning up all night. I feel like we just got over his last fever Ugh! Sorry for the super long rant. Here's some brownies for your troubles!
Edited: apparently my phone ate my paragraphs AND my brownies!
It sounds like an awful weekend. But I'm with shank, bitching about red eyes in a photo when someone is dying is... yikes. Unless the red eyes had nothing to do with that?
Either way, I hope you and LO are both feeling better soon.
No, I would never hold him at fault for that and shouldn't have said that. Like @pcat13 said, I was just listing off one of the seemingly hundreds things that went wrong this weekend. I was up EVERY. HOUR. with Emmett who is screaming with fever and my brain is a little frazzled.
His grandmother is holding steady right now. They thought she might be going because she was having multiple strokes. She's still having them but is holding on.
Thanks everyone for your kid words. I just want to sit down and cry.
