Welcome to KristyLynn26 and jknallen! There have been a couple other recent BFPs in the 2IF community, and I hope you ladies will join us soon!
AlmostWright, you asked for tips on handling the nausea…. Drinking tons of Gatorade didn’t make the nausea go away for me, but it made it much more manageable. I am normally a big water drinker, and couldn’t even stomach the thought of water! I went ahead and told DS pretty early in the process that I was not feeling good, since the nausea was keeping me from doing so many things. It made it a little easier to not have to try to hide how sick I felt.

2IF issues
1. How many weeks along are you? 25w2d
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Saw my OB and MFM docs last Friday, everything is looking good so far! Next ultrasound with MFM on 12/20
3. How are you feeling lately? Pretty much the same. Heartburn every night when I lay down to sleep. And my belly button hurts! Feels like the babies are trying to claw their way out through it!
4. QOTW: What was your birth experience(s) like with DS/DD? Labor fast or slow? Water break or no? C-section or vaginal? Epidural or not? Induced or natural progression? Anything unusual happen?
I had a great experience with DS. I had a midwife and delivered in the hospital. Contractions started about 1am. Tried having a bath to slow them down so I could sleep, but no go. Laboured at home through the night and went to the hospital about 8am. Labour stalled out and my midwife was prepping to give me some meds so I could rest a bit, but all it took was a change in position and things took off again and it was too late for narcotics. Water broke in the shower at the hospital. DS was delivered vaginally, with no epidural or narcotics, didn't even have an IV. I used the gas a bit for relief during transition, but mostly found it made me really dizzy and I hated the mask! Pushing went quickly and I tore a bit which needed stitches. We went home 3 hours after he was born! I would have liked to do the same this time around but it's a c-section for me!

EDD: March 22, 2013
It's triplets!!
1.) 4 weeks 6 days
2.) Just got my 2nd betas back & nurse said they look great! First u/s scheduled for Dec 18th
3.) I'm feeling pretty good so far. Only symptoms are more tired than normal & sore boobs.
4.) My water broke with DD the morning I turned 38 weeks. I was contracting on my own but they weren't strong enough so I got Pitocin. I was progressing pretty well & got an epidural. Then DD's heartrate dropped dangerously low. The dr ordered an emergency c-section and she was here 30 min later! I will be having a RCS with the next baby.
3. How are you feeling lately? I am ok, the hardest part is being very tired and I cannot sleep at all at night.
No upcoming appointments/ultrasounds
Morning sickness not as bad as it was but still there. And feel tired a lot more now that I'm not sleeping well at night.
Had contractions decided I wanted Wendy's before going to the hospital as was afraid they wouldn't let me eat. Got there they broke my water went on epidural and she slid out luckily nurse was walking by at the time to catch her. Kept telling them something was happening but they kept saying hold on dr will be in in a min. But DD wasn't waiting:)
1. How many weeks along are you? 6 weeks
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? My next u/s is Friday morning
3. How are you feeling lately? Getting tired early and my boobs are sore. I had my first few waves of nausea/lightheaded this morning.
4. QOTW: At 36/37 weeks, DD was measuring small (5lbs 2oz), so my OB sent me to MFM for a better u/s and to look for activity, etc... I went back every 2 days for the next week and a half. My OB said my potentially tiny baby my be concerning b/c a little baby could indicate a problem w/ the placenta, or just genetically small baby. I was 5lbs 2oz, & MH was 5lbs 4oz, so I wasn't concerned. Still I was induced at 39 weeks, just in case there was an issue w. the placenta. I had a great experience...sure it freaked me out when my OB came at with a knitting needle to break my water, but after that, it was OK. I was given pitocin at 7AM, got my epidural at 11AM and had my DD at 1:12PM. I only had to push for 10 minutes. If I could choose to have number 2 the same way, I'd would do it in a heartbeat! Oh, and she was 6lbs 2oz and the placenta looked healthy.
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Had our first ultrasound last Thursday and we saw one perfect heartbeat
3. How are you feeling lately? Pretty sick to my stomach and tired but really feeling great.
4. QOTW: What was your birth experience(s) like with DS/DD? Labor fast or slow? Water break or no? C-section or vaginal? Epidural or not? Induced or natural progression? Anything unusual happen?
My delivery experience with DD was pretty crazy. My water broke at 35 weeks while I was at work but I was in complete denial. I thought I had just peed my pants a little since I had been holding it way to long and it wasn't the big gush I was expecting. It was on a Tuesday and everything had looked perfect at the OBs office just the day before. So of course I just went home finished up the nursery and tried to sleep through the "back pain". Lol.
I went to work the next morning. I worked in research at the time with a lot of scientists and doctors and by Wednesday early afternoon my boss said I had no choice and her assistant was driving me to the hospital. Got there and the resident confirmed it was amniotic fluid (still in denial) and they admitted me. I was started on IV penicillin (ouch) because I still hadn't even had my strep b test and they were planning an amnio on Thursday morning to check baby's lung development. Fast forward to Thursday morning and they confirmed there wasn't enough fluid to even try the amnio so it was go time. They started pitocin to amp up the strength of contractions Thursday then added cervadil Thursday night (after finally letting me eat something) and then full strength pitocin again Friday morning. After being in labor for 3 days with 24+ hours of painful strong contractions my doctor finally checked my progress (they did it as little as possible for risk of infection) and I was a whopping 1.5cm
After all of that and I still ended up with a c section because of the length of time since my water had broke and the fluid levels so low. By that point though I was so ready for the spinal and the IV penicillin to end I was ready. I was so worried about how early I was but DD came out perfect at 6lbs and 19in long. She spent the first night in the special care nursery but besides that didn't need any help. We were team green and she was the best surprise of my life so we will definitely be team green again this time around.
Sorry if that was a little long but haven't thought about her birth story in a long time.

2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I was supposed to have an OB appt today but they closed the office due to weather (snowing here). I am so disappointed! I have to call tomorrow to reschedule but am assuming I won't get in until next week at the earliest
3. How are you feeling lately? Nausea comes and goes, and nothing sounds good to eat. I had some bad cramping last night but no bleeding so hoping all is ok.
4. QOTW: What was your birth experience(s) like with DS/DD? Labor fast or slow? Water break or no? C-section or vaginal? Epidural or not? Induced or natural progression? Anything unusual happen?
DS was a 3 days early. Contractions had been going on for a while and finally were close enough we went to the hospital. I was admitted and had an epidural not too long after. My blood pressure was very high which was a concern so I was given pitocin to move things along. Got to 10cm pretty quickly, although I can't remember how long I had to push. I do remember the tearing though. So painful for weeks! DS was 8lb 3.5oz and 21". The doctor told me to get to the hospital quickly with the next baby since he came so fast. My mom almost didn't make it for my younger brother so that scares me!

2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? No appointment until 1/6.
3. How are you feeling lately? Horrible nausea and crazy exhaustion. If I didn't have DD to take care of, I would be in bed at 7.
4. QOTW: What was your birth experience(s) like with DS/DD? Labor fast or slow? Water break or no? C-section or vaginal? Epidural or not? Induced or natural progression? Anything unusual happen?
I had a failed induction at 40w1d. After 14 hours of no progression, I had a c/s. I developed pre-eclampsia and fluid around my heart after she was born. I spent extra time in the hospital and left only when a cardiologist signed off on my heart. I have to see him through this pregnancy as well, but my OB is stopping short of labeling me high risk.
1 hour early glucose test scheduled for Thursday (yuck!). Next apt & a/s is scheduled for 1/2/14.
Feeling great. As long as I get my afternoon nap in.
Nothing unusual with DS. Water broke on its own at 40w 1d. Was in actual labor for about 22 hours with pitocin and epidural. I did only push for about 5 minutes, thankfully. I remember telling DH - get someone in here, he's on his way out! Then when the nurses finally came in they were trying to get my feet in the stirrups and one of them was broken. It seemed like they messed with the darn thing for 1/2 an hour before one of the nurses finally just held my leg. (It wasn't really that long, just seemed like it when I was waiting to push a a baby out lol). They came in at 1:56, and DS was born at 2:01. He was 7 lb 12 oz and 21 in long.
1. How many weeks along are you? I will be 34 weeks on Thursday
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Next appointment is next Tuesday the 17th. Hoping to have a more in-depth discussion with my OB at that time about our chances of making it to 38 weeks and when we might be scheduling our c-section
3. How are you feeling lately? I feel like a broken record, but just feeling extremely tired and everything is sore/tight. Lots of cramping and there are days where it takes all I have to get out of bed and get to work. Actually staying home today as I was really weak/lightheaded/nauseous this morning. Decided my body was telling me I needed a day to rest. As of now I'm going to try to work right up until baby girl arrives, but I may need to see if I can cut back a bit and work a few days from home.
4. QOTW: What was your birth experience(s) like with DS/DD? Labor fast or slow? Water break or no? C-section or vaginal? Epidural or not? Induced or natural progression? Anything unusual happen?
DD was born 1 day after her due date and everything went pretty smoothly. Woke up around 1:15 a.m. with contractions, but decided they were manageable and still far enough apart that I wanted to shower and clean up before heading into the hospital. DH woke up a bit later and we finally went into the hospital around 3:00 a.m. At that time I was about 3 cm and my water broke a bit later. I had previously decided I didn't want an epidural so I labored through the morning and finally broke down and asked for some sort of lovely narcotic that helped take the edge off and got me through 7-10 cm. Only pushed for about 30 minutes and DD was born at 12:16 PM. I did tear some and had to have an episiotomy, but otherwise we were blessed to have our birth plan go mostly according to plan. Was hoping for a similar experience this time around, but looking like it will be a C-section for me
