I did something cute the first time around with our loss. I'm not sure that I will do anything if/when we get pregnant again. My husband isn't super romantic, and I think I will just be so excited to be pregnant again that I won't be able to keep it quiet long enough to do anything cute.

The first time I bought a onesie that said "Mommy+Daddy = One Cute Baby". He cried when he opened it. That BFP ended in a miscarriage four weeks later.
I have started to think about what I will do this time and I really have no clue right now.
I really wanted to be able to surprise my DH after getting a BFP but then we had a random talk and he mentioned "he should be there" when I take the test! I'm glad he wants to be THAT MUCH a part of it but it kinda took the joy out of surprising him....oh well! Before this little chat I was thinking of getting like a bandana or something for the dog that says "Big Sister" and see how long it would take him to notice....or get a onsie that says "I love my Daddy" or something like that and give it to him at dinner one night.
I have little denim osh kosh b'gosh bibs in storage somewhere....I took them from my moms attic a long time ago cause I came across them and they were sooo stinking cute, I thought that someday...maybe someday I will have a use for them. I guess me, or one of my siblings wore them at one time or another. Anyways, he does the laundry, so maybe I can dig them out of storage and toss them in the hamper and see how long it takes him to find them : )

I've thought about this for a long while... but after so many false alarms, and zero positives (TTC#1) I'm sure I'll just be in so much shock that I'll call him right in to the bathroom... hopefully I can at least channel enough class to wipe and pull up my pants first.
But if I am able to contain myself I'd like to do it some surprising way... he's a big 49ers fan, so I've thought about buying a 49ers onesie, wrapping it and giving it to him after dinner with a note that reads "touchdown!". I fully expect to be in disbelief for the first day and then cry uncontrollably thereforth. I definitely plan to tell my fertile-myrtle sisters/mother at some type of get together that I will pass off as a family dinner.
The first time around went something like "Oh shit, that's two lines right?" The second time around I want to surprise him a bit. He is usually getting home from work not too long after I leave so I'm thinking of leaving the pee stick on the counter with a little note that says "Remember our New Years resolution to grow a human? Mission accomplished." And then wait for his phone call..
I've been avoiding this thread - trying not to get ahead of myself. But, if I were to get a positive stick (after about testing at least 10 more times) - depending on when I was testing and where DH was, I'd probably stumble over to him in shock and awe and show him the pee stick. It's not dramatic, but it would be memorable.
Now, if I had my wits about me - I'd wait to confirm with my doctor - but that's not realistic. He was with me at my first ultrasound when they couldn't find a heartbeat. I just wouldn't want to get his hopes up (or mine) and would want to wait. But, like I said, that's not realistic. Or put a t-shirt on my dog that read, "Big Sis" and see how long (maybe weeks) it would take for him to notice.
