Not sure if it is recommended to take during pregnancy. I know it doesn't do much for me when I'm not pregnant. I would think because the cause of nausea is different it wouldn't help.
Google says it's Category B but I know that the Canadian equivalent is generally not recommended for pregnancy. Call your doctor and get something that is specifically for nausea/vomiting of pregnancy.
Zofran didn't work for me but phenergan (sp?) did. Also try b6 vitamins, preggy pops, ginger tea (or ale) and the sea sick bands- they are just bracelets - they didn't make a huge difference but enough that I wasn't hanging over a toilet every second. GL
Unable to see my doc today but I picked these up frm CVS and they work pretty well for nausea ..kick in about 2-3 minutes and last about 2-3 hrs two at a time but says u can take 2-4. Not a fan of chalky stuff but hey it beats ralphing all day lol!!
I had a 24 hour stomach bug a few days ago and my OB told me to take Dramamine. Not sure if this works for m/s or not, or about taking it daily. FWIW zofran didn't work for me with my first pregnancy, I had to take phenergan, but it really made me sleepy. I'm hoping this time around m/s will be manageable through other methods since I have a 14 month old to chase around. Good luck and hope you find something that works for you soon.
I have really bad motion sickness, have had to fly a few times since I've been pregnant, and RE/OB both said I could take Dramamine. I didn't have any issues and baby is fine.
Dramimine is on the okay list from my OB. I have taken 1/2 a pill here and there on days I have gotten really nauseous. I helps some. It did not make it go away for me but it def made it less intense
Re: Dramamine for morning sickness?
Call your OB and ask for Zofran.
