Maybe a divider with a bean bag chair and some pillows for a reading/music area? New bedding, mirror on the wall, get some twine and staple (gun) it to the ceiling and hang paper lanterns from it.
You can use wall decals to dress up dresser drawer fronts. They are easy to cut to size. I used them to dress up DD's bookshelf edges. You can also line the back of bookshelves with it or use wallpaper.
Last one, I swear. I just love messing with furniture.
Place fabric under plexiglass on top of a dresser or desk. The hardware store will cut the plexiglass to the size you need. I did this on my end tables. It's so quick to swap out new fabrics and cheap if you can find a remnant.
