Anyone have complete previa and sustain heavy bleeding???

So, I was always under the impression I had marginal previa but last night I had very heavy gushes of blood and was sent to l & d. They immediately transferred me to a higher level hospital and began steroids just in case they have to delivery; I am only 26 weeks. The bleeding has been tapering but I will remain here for another day or two. If no more bleeding will be released but if I continue to bleed may have to deliver. Anyone have this issue? Were you able to go to term or were they preterm? Everything with the doctors is so up in the air so was curious of others experiences. Thanks.

I have a complete previa but never bleed.  I just wanted to let you know I had another friend who bled heavily with a previa and eventually it stopped and the previa moved so hopefully this happens for you also.  

My thoughts and prayers are with you, try to relax and take it easy.

Thanks The odd thing is that is must have moved down not up which is rare but not unheard of apparently. It was just a shock to see so much blood and learn you have complete previa but I hope I can keep them in at least another 6 weeks.

With a complete previa they will likely deliver you a bit early (via booked c-section). They are usually around 35/36 weeks because they don't want you to go into labour. If the bleeding settles down, you have a good chance of getting to your section date.
