PB cribs

Hi-

I was thinking of getting the Kendall crib, but I read some reviews online (granted from a couple years ago) that said PB cribs are made to fit their specific mattresses. Does anyone have this crib or another PB crib? Can I get my mattress elsewhere? If you have the Kendall crib, do you like it?

    I have a Kendall with a Sealy soybean mattress. Great fit, and I love the look of our crib.

    Our neighbors gave us their Kendall. They got it 6 years ago, had two kids, and it still looks brand new. I love it it is super sturdy. We bought a new mattress, went with a Simmons beautyrest and it fits.

    I have it for my June 2013 baby and I purchased a standard size mattress from babies r us and had no problems.

    I also have a Kendall crib and the Soybean mattress from BuyBuyBaby. No issues with fit.  Very sturdy crib.  My toddler is still in the crib and I'm buying another PBK crib (the Larkin) for second baby.  I've been very happy with their baby furniture.  My only issue was the Kendall double dresser topper would not fit a non-PBK changing pad so I did have to buy that from PBK, which seemed silly to me.  Oh well.
