I have read that insulin can make you more hungry. I was very sick during the while first trimester and lost 8 lbs. I've since gained that back + another 4 and I'm only 22 weeks along.
Last pregnancy I managed to only gain 14 lbs but I'm sure I'll gain more this times based on the rate I'm already gaining and how long is left.
This time I'm counting carbs + covering based on what I eat, last time I had a set dose, but my GD became worse with this pregnancy so the set dose wasn't cutting it.
I eat a lot more and and am always having to cover. It kind of scares me because it feels out of control.
I do tend to lose it quickly with breastfeeding, but I worry about the health of the pregnancy, the baby and the toll this is taking on my body.
