Dh is applying for essentially the same job as he currently has, just with a different company. His reason is that he understands the pay, hours, and general treatment of employees is better, but we are trying to figure out how to say that without sounding like he's whining about his current job.
The other piece of why he wants to move is that this company has a regional office in our city whereas his current company's closest office is a two hour drive away. So the otter company offers more opportunity for advancement without requiring a move (or very long commute). How would you address that in an interview, or does that sound like you just want this job as a foot in the door to something else?
Thanks!!
Re: Job interview help please
Any tactful ways to expand beyond "a great company to work for," if they ask a follow up question?
Also of note, we had a candidate say his strength was happiness. A simple response, but depending on the industry, that is hard to come by. That was his most memorable answer and we gave him the job.
