I wanted to get DS a step stool for bday or Christmas, but it's the one thing I can't decide which one to get. The cheaper plastic ones with rubber grips on top and bottom seem to be safest, but get reviews that they won't be high enough for DS to really reach anything, while the more expensive two step wooden ones say they are for ages 3+ and look like he could slip on them in his socks but would give him more height. I'm getting it so he can wash hands, brush teeth, get on the potty, etc. Anyone have one that they like and can recommend?

My FIL just made a learning tower for DS. It wound up costing him only $7.50! He had most of the wood already but still! They go for $200 online! DS loves it!! And it adjusts! FIL said it took him maybe two days to build.
Here's where I got the plans!
