I am stumped on what to do for beds for these little ones when we first bring them home.. I think I have it figured out, then I see something else.. What have you guys seen that works well?
General consensus that I've seen is RNPs are the way to go, though it'll depend on your babies a bit.
We just swaddled and placed them in a crib in our room. I probably would've done RNPs or bassinets but we couldn't afford to get anything else equipment-wise at the time. On rough nights we ended up using a swing with a 5-point harness and DD's old bouncer/vibrating seat.

My cousin whose twin girls just turned 1 swears by the RnP - she said it's all the girls would sleep in. I have registered for a few things, only one of each then I can see what they like the most (Pack n play w two bassinets, RnP, swing, bouncer)
We had our first in the bassinet of the pnp for a day or two and it was awful. I just don't like PNPs that much. He went to his crib in his room after that.
The twins have slept in RNPs in their room since they came home. They're small and portable which is essential in out very small home.
We have the twin PnP my boys are almost a moth old and have slept pretty well in it with no issues. I think if we had the RnP they might actually STTN or close to it. In the bassinet they wake up once maybe twice to nurse. The PnP mattresses are not super comfortable I think but it's working well for us and it's sidecar-ed with our bed making BF at 3:30 am super easy.

We have cribs, 2 RNPs and a twin PNP. We will experiment and see what works.
This is our plan as well - we have the twin PNP set up in our bedroom - the cribs are in the nursery and the RNPs are in our living room - although they are easy to bring to our room if needed.

I started with an arms reach cosleeper, and after getting zero sleep three nights in a row and jaundice beds and failed breastfeeding, we moved them to bouncy seats in their room and they slept better. After a reflux d/x, we kept them there until 4 months when his meds were working well and moved them to swaddles in their own cribs. I was all about cosleeping until I got schooled by twins (coslept with my older two, way easier with one baby!)
