I am pregnant with my second, DS will be 15 months older than this one. DH and I only wanted 2... I am having a scheduled c-section so i guess my question is... Has anyone gotten their tubes tide during the second (or third or fourth) c-section???
I'm having a csection and hysterectomy. I don't think I would consider anything so permanent as tying my tubes if I didn't have to have the hysterectomy. What if you change your mind in 5 years? Have you considered an IUD? You might get more replies on the csection board.

I'll post on there, didn't really think of that.. But I've tried an IUD and hated it. We got pregnant while I was on the pill so we should prob figure something out for after this one.. Haha
I did. My two are 17 months apart and I had a scheduled C (which ended up being an emergency since she came early) but anyways....I had a planned tubal during my C. I kind of had a hard time with it initially because I felt like it was so permanent but I didn't want to take BC my whole life, we are both in our late 30's and we knew we didn't want more children. So it was the best decision for us since I was already going to be cut open.
I got mine tied after my second CS, kids are 14 months apart. I'm 40, needed IVF due to a blocked tube, and am done having kids, but know enough people in similar situations who ended up with "oopsie" babies, so I'm not taking any chances. On the off chance we'd want another, we'd have to do IVF again, so at that point the tubes are irrelevant anyway.
Regarding the procedure, it's super easy. You just stay in the OR a little while longer while they do the procedure before stitching you up. I didn't notice any major differences between the 2 CS's.
DH and I are only having 2 kiddos. So if I have another c-sec this time around (which is highly likely) I will be getting my tubes tied. DH has agreed to get a vasectomy if I have a vaginal birth but like I said highly likely that would happen.
One of the first things out of DH's mouth when we found out #3 was unexpectedly coming was, so when am I getting the snip?! I think if you are sure you are done then do it. I've heard other people say to wait 5 years before doing anything permanent which I think is a good idea if you aren't sure.
We were 2 under 2, now 3 under 3!
