I don't know if this has ever been covered before but..

Has anybody ever tried acupuncture to bring on labour before?
It'll be my 5th day passed my due date tomorrow so am going to give it a go..
So just curious on people's experiences with it.

I love acupuncture but never tried it for labor purposes. I am due today. They haven't spoken about inducing you?

Let us know how it goes. A few girls in my natural birth class did it. One went into labor that evening (!!!), but of course it could have been coincidence. The other girl ended up being induced at 42 w. Good luck!!!

I've heard some women swear it worked for them. My acupuncturist said it's most effective if you've been going for treatments throughout your pregnancy, instead of just one appointment at the end.

I'm going on Saturday morning for my first time (I'll be 39w 4d) so we'll see if it at least gets me dilating

ETA: I'll report back if it does anything

My chiropractor that I've been seeing does acupuncture as well, I'm going to have it done with I'm 39w 2 days, she said we'll do it 3 days in a tow( unless one of the first 2 days does it)

Yeah I have a membrane sweep next Tuesday and if that doesn't work induce me the day after but by then I will be 41weeks 3days!
So I thought trying acupuncture before hand can't hurt can it
